Two Cancer Patients’ Choices

(Minghui.org) Two of my husband’s high school classmates were diagnosed with cancer. My husband told them both about Falun Dafa, but they made two different choices that led to different outcomes.

In late 2015, my husband heard that his high school classmate Jia was diagnosed with uterine cancer. My husband called her right away, telling her that Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) could help her. He told her that she could get better if she sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Jia had a good career and family, and she believed that everything she had was given by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Jia said that she couldn’t betray the CCP, and she wouldn’t believe in Falun Gong.

My husband called her a few more times, but she was very stubborn. The following year in May Jia, who was just 50 years old, passed away.

Yi, another classmate of my husband’s, called him in April this year, asking to borrow 10,000 yuan. He needed the money to pay off his car loan, so that he could sell the car to get money to pay for his medical treatment.

My husband went to visit him, bringing the requested money. We couldn’t get into his community due to the Covid-19 lock down. His wife met us outside of the community. She told us that Yi had a tumor on his liver a year ago. He underwent two surgeries while hospitalized, but the cancer cells had now metastasized to the lungs. At this time he couldn’t even get out of bed.

I told her that Falun Dafa could save people. I asked her to tell Yi to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Later on, we also sent them some stories about cancer patients who recovered after reciting the words.

I was not sure if Yi would recite the words, because years ago when I talked to him about the Falun Gong’s tremendous effects on healing and fitness, he said that from elementary school to university, what he learned was all atheism, and one has to go to the hospital once he has an illness. He didn’t believe Falun Gong is so miraculous.

Unexpectedly, at a critical moment, Yi decided to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good.” He said his lung didn’t hurt any more after reciting it, and he could fall asleep easily. He said Falun Gong was great! His wife recites “Falun Dafa is good” with him as well.

Half a month later, Yi was able to take a walk. A month later, he was able to walk 10,000 steps at once. Then, he could take long walks and pick up his daughter from school. He gained 2 kg of weight, and became more and more healthy.

In late June, he went to the hospital for an exam. The doctor was shocked, “Awesome! Everything is normal!” Yi’s wife exclaimed, “It’s magical!”

It’s fortunate that Yi was able to change his beliefs at the most dangerous period in his life, recognize the wonder of Dafa, and be saved.

Yi’s experience is another example of the benefits that Falun Dafa can provide for people who are sincere in their hearts and minds.
