(Minghui.org) I came down with a high fever in August 2018. My body was in extreme pain by the third day, especially my left lung, back, and left ear. The fever persisted and I felt miserable. I could not sit or stand comfortably.
I then suddenly remembered the following passage of Master Li's Fa and recited it repeatedly.
Master said,
“Going through hardship and suffering is an outstanding opportunity to remove karma, be cleansed of sin, purify the body, elevate your plane of thought, and rise in level—it’s an extraordinarily good thing. This is a correct and upright Fa-truth.” (“The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
Tests of Sickness Karma
I could not fall asleep due to the pain, and stayed up throughout the entire night on the balcony. I then had an asthma attack, and breathing difficulties. My husband immediately started sending righteous thoughts for me.
Master said,
“As a Dafa disciple, everything of yours is formed by Dafa and is the most righteous, and it can only be that [you] rectify everything that is not righteous. How could you bow to the evil?” (“Dafa is Indestructible,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
The above Fa teachings came to my mind. I resisted and negated the persecution by the old forces. I sent strong righteous thoughts, and recited the phrase, “Falun Dafa is good.”
As I calmed down I enlightened, “Master has purified my body and installed the Law Wheel, and energy mechanisms in me. He has borne karma and arranged my cultivation path. Everything is given by Master. It is nothing to do with the old forces.”
I do not know how long it took to fall asleep, but I had been awake for three days.
The fever was gone the next day. But the twinge came back, followed by convulsions, vomiting, asthma, and nose bleeding. Breathing was getting more difficult, and I drifted into unconsciousness.
When I became conscious, I saw my husband kneeling in front of Master's picture asking for his help. The pain lessened.
We watched the video of Master's Fa Teachings given to Australian practitioners, from which I realized that anything that happens on the cultivation path is always a good thing. While eliminating karma looked superficial, I was actually repaying a major karmic debt.
Enlightenment of Fa Principles from Sickness Karma
The concept about sickness karma experienced by Dafa practitioners was rooted in my heart for a long time. After listening to many of Master's Fa teachings, my perspective on sickness karma changed, and I subsequently enlightened to different Fa principles.
Expanded View of the Universe and Human Body
I did the five sets of Dafa exercises after my pain lessened. When doing the second exercise, “Falun Standing Stance,” I saw a Law Wheel spinning in front of my forehead. It was surrounded by groups of bright yellow light, like a blossoming chrysanthemum.
Master said,
“A grain of sand is thus just like a universe, with people having wisdom like ours, planets, mountains, and rivers.” (Lecture Two, Zhuan Falun)
This Fa teaching broadened my view of life, the human body, and the universe. I understood that the vision of the great enlightened beings is macroscopic. They are not bound by the concept of the human body, and can see countless worlds and infinite lives in a particle.
I should see things just like a god does. I should look at the vibrant worlds with expanded vision, and eliminate the thought of being ill. A practitioner should have a heart as broad as a god’s.
Master is Omnipotent
When I read the section “What Has Teacher Given to Students?” in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun, I enlightened that all bodies cleansed by Master, and things he installed, cannot be removed or undone by any being, as they do not have that much power.
Master said,
“The things this body carries in each level of the dimensions will be quite substantial and appear very scary.” (Lecture Eight, Zhuan Falun)
Master changes the bodies of practitioners with his gong, allowing all bodies in every dimension to attain a lot of energy. No beings can eclipse Master in gong, nor can they destroy the things Master installed in practitioners. How can the old forces take away the bodies of disciples?
Eliminating Karma is to Remake the Divine Body
I had suffered a great deal of pain for some time. To the great enlightened beings, this suffering is like the blink of an eye.
Master said,
“It’s only one day in heaven, but one thousand years have passed on earth.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)
I suddenly realized that the suffering provided me a chance to understand the perspective of Heaven to the human world.
Master said,
“Eliminating karma, Remaking our divine bodies.”(“Journey Toward the Shore Guided by Gods,” Hong Yin IV)
After my mind understood this righteous thought, my resentment from the severe pain was relieved immediately. I truly understood that I should be grateful to Master who compassionately bears the sufferings for all beings.
With the change of concept and a new understanding of the Fa principles, my righteous thoughts grew stronger, and my mind improved. The bitterness I suffered before became nothing at all. All the problems, including nose bleeding, vomiting, and pains completely disappeared within ten days. I passed the sickness karma test.
I went back to work, and distributed Dafa informational materials again.
