(Minghui.org) Few people were on the streets during the lockdown, and people were unwilling to spend much time outside, which made it difficult for practitioners to clarify the truth. A fellow practitioner and I had the same understanding and wanted to follow Master Li's (the founder) teaching:
“...to go along with their ploys and turn their ploys against them.” (Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)
We both work in a grocery store. This is our platform to clarify the truth.
We tried to clarify the truth to every customer while they selected products or were checking out. We normally said something like, “The pandemic is really severe now. No matter how rich you are or how much political power you have, nobody can guarantee that he or she will not get infected. Only gods can help. Heaven is watching our actions. Quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Heaven will see it and will protect you. Safety is the most important.” We also tell people to recite the two phrases: “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Most people were happy to quit the Party.
One day a lady in her sixties bought some draught wine. While filling her container, we clarified the truth to her. She was a Party member, and she refused to quit no matter what we said to her. “Many people have tried to convince me,” she said, “But it's no use, I will not quit.”
We kept sending forth righteous thoughts. While checking out she said that she needed to taste the wine before paying. After taking a sip, she claimed that we had diluted the wine with water and asked for a discount. “Your boss won’t know if you lower the price,” she said.
We realized that she was trying to make trouble and take advantage of us. We knew that the wine was good because nobody had ever complained. She claimed that if we didn’t lower the price, she would not pay. She asked us to pour the wine back into the barrel. She saw that the barrel lid was sealed and that people could only pour wine out of it. They could not pour anything back into it.
We didn’t get mad, although she was such a bully. We tried to explain the principles of being a good person to her. I said to her: “Our boss trusts us. If you were the store owner, would you be happy if your employees did such a thing? We follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We must be honest.”
She asked us to call the boss. We refused. The fellow practitioner and I decided not to do business with her. We tried to find a bottle to pour the wine out of her container. She backed down and only asked for a few yuan discount(less than one U.S. dollar). We agreed. While checking out, the fellow practitioner said to her, “Quit the Party. It really is for your own good.” She smiled and agreed. The gentleman who was accompanying her also quit the Young Pioneers. Before they left, I said to them, “We have a predestined relationship, otherwise, we wouldn't have had the chance to talk for such a long time. Please remember that Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They nodded.
Many farmers from the countryside have come to our store during the pandemic. Since they didn’t have “permits” issued by the city government, they were not allowed to visit large supermarkets. The small stores on the street were their only choice. We didn’t have any discrimination policies against them. Instead, we treated them very nicely. Almost all of them were willing to listen to us and quit the Party. Many of them also promised to tell their family members and friends about the great tide of quitting the Party and said they would ask their family members and friends to recite the two phrases.
The fellow practitioner and I collaborated very well. We were sometimes able to convince a dozen people to quit the Party in a day. The city has reopened now and we can clarify the truth on the street and convince more people to quit the Party.
Finally, let us read Master's teachings together:
“Dafa disciples, you are golden light in the mortal world, the hope of the world’s people, Fa-disciples who help Master, and future Fa-Kings. Keep diligent, Awakened Ones that walk the earth: Everything of today will be the glory of the future.” (“Congratulatory Message,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress, Vol. III)
