(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in eight provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Chuantao Mistreated in Prison

Mr. Wang Chuantao is incarcerated in the No. 1 Sub-ward of the No. 9 Ward in Zhengzhou Prison. Criminal inmate Cao Yu, who is a favorite of the prison guards, slapped, kicked, and punched him on the evening of March 5, 2020.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Hao Denied Family Visits in Detention Center

Mr. Wang Hao is being held in the Lichuan City Detention Center. His mother and sister called the detention center and asked to see him, but their request was denied.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Sun Deli’s Home Ransacked, Ms. Ma Yanling Arrested

Officers from the Zhangzhen Town Police Station in the Shunyi District ransacked Mr. Sun Deli’s home on the morning of May 3, 2020. He has had his home ransacked, been arrested, detained, taken to forced labor camps, and sentenced to prison numerous times.

Ms. Ma Yanling from the Haidian District was arrested on May 10.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Elderly Mr. Shi Xingjin’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Lutou Town Police Station ransacked Mr. Shi Xingjin’s home in Ankuang Village on May 7, 2020. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and printed materials.

Mr. Shi is in his 80s.

5. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners’ Cases Turned Over to Court

The cases of Ms. Wang Xinyin, Ms. Zheng Yuling, and Ms. Xu Chunling have been turned over to the Gulou District Court.

6. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Elderly Ms. Zhou Shanxiu Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shanxiu, in her 80s, from Anqiu County, was arrested at home by the Anqiu police in April 2020.

7. [Linxia County, Gansu Province] Ms. Jia Chunzhen and Mr. Song Youfu Held in Detention Center

Ms. Jia Chunzhen and Mr. Song Youfu from Liangjiashan Village in Xinji Town were arrested by Linxia County Domestic Security officers on April 30, 2020. They are being held in the Linxia Detention Center.

8. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Rifa and Another Practitioner Arrested

Mr. Li Rifa, about 70, along with another practitioner from Yangjiaquan Village in Yangchu Town, were arrested by officers from the Guanli Town Police Station on May 7, 2020, for posting Falun Gong materials in Fangshan, Guanli.

Both practitioners were released that evening after being forced to pay 1,000 yuan each.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiulan Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiulan and her sister from Jiaozhou City were arrested by officers from the Zhongyun Police Station on the afternoon of May 6, 2020.

Her sister was released the following day. Ms. Zhang is still being held in custody.

Ms. Cong Guirong and Ms. Song Fuye from the Weihai City Economic Zone were arrested by officers from the Fenglin Police Station on the afternoon of April 28, 2020.

Their homes were ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, printed materials, and cell phones were confiscated.

11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shulan Arrested

Ms. Liu Shulan was arrested by officers from the Quanshan Police Station on the morning of May 10, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and many Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

Mr. Yang Qinghua was arrested on April 6, 2020, and taken to the Kangning Psychiatric hospital. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Liu Guifa from Jia Town, Guan County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, was arrested by the Daming County police in Hebei Province. His home was ransacked.

14. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Bingxiang Arrested

Ms. Liu Bingxiang was arrested at her daughter’s home by officers from the Qiaoxi Police Department and the Xinhua Street Police Station on May 11, 2020. Her whereabouts are unknown.
