Additional Persecution News from China – April 14, 2020 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 31 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Songnu Sentenced to Prison
2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Shuqin Taken to Prison
3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
4. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center
5. [Huangshan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Rui Arrested
6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Xiulan Arrested
7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Dianxing Arrested
8. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Caiying Arrested
9. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
10. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Arrested
11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tang Zhuyin and Ms. Jiao Arrested

1. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Songnu Sentenced to Prison 

Ms. Ying Songnu from Daishi Village, Dongfang Town, was sentenced to a two-year prison term by the Jinyun County Court on January 21, 2020. She is still being held in the Lishui City Detention Center.

2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Shuqin Taken to Prison

Ms. Jiang Shuqin was taken to the No. 14 Ward of Shijiazhuang Prison on January 15, 2020.

3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yu Jinming, Ms. Yu Guijiao, Ms. Chen Shuping, and Mr. Lu Ding’an were arrested by officers from the Huanggang City Domestic Security Division on the morning of April 10, 2020. Laser printers and laptops were confiscated.

Ms. Hu Xia, Ms. Cai, and other practitioners from Qingquan Town, Xishui County, were arrested by the county and local police the same day.

4. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Peng Xia, Mr. Zheng Weigui, Ms. Xie Changmei, and Ms. Wang Yanjun were arrested in early April 2020. They were taken to a brainwashing center.

5. [Huangshan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Rui Arrested

Ms. Zhang Rui from She County was arrested by officers Shu Chang, Zhu Yi, and others from the Hefei Railway Police Department on the afternoon of April 8, 2020. Her laptop, tablet, cell phone, and watch were confiscated.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Hu Xiulan from the No. 10 section of Chenger Village was arrested at home by officers from the Chengfeng Police Department on the morning of April 12, 2020.

7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Dianxing Arrested

Mr. Li Dianxing, 81, former deputy director of the County Water Conservancy Bureau, was recorded on surveillance cameras when he was distributing Falun Gong materials. He was arrested by officers from the Yuanling Domestic Security Division on March 17, 2020. His computer and printing equipment were confiscated.

8. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Caiying Arrested

Ms. Cai Caiying, a teacher from Zhangcha Elementary School, was arrested in mid-March 2020. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Lu Bo was arrested at home by over a dozen police officers on March 22, 2020. His home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, a computer, cell phone, printed materials, and cash were confiscated.

Ms. Fu Shujie, Ms. Gan Yonglian, and Ms. Mo Lijuan were arrested at the same time.

10. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Hu Wenju, 79, Mr. Sheng Jianhui, 78, Ms. Gan Lirong, 65, Ms. He Yunbi, 67, and other practitioners from the Nanchuan District were followed and arrested by officers from the Nanchuan Domestic Security Sub-division on March 11, 2020. They were interrogated until early the next morning, and had their hands and feet tied to an iron chair. Ms. Gan and Ms. He were transferred to a detention center. They were all released on April 10.

Mr. Gao Hongwei, Ms. Li Yuhua, Ms. Li Jiahui, Ms. Yu Xiuhua, and Ms. Qin Xuemei from the Shiqiaopu Sub-district, Jiulongpo District, were arrested on September 7, 2018. Ms. Li Yuhua was released because of severe health problems. The other four practitioners have been detained for one and a half years, and the authorities have not revealed their location.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tang Zhuyin and Ms. Jiao Arrested

Ms. Tang Zhuyin and Ms. Jiao were arrested on April 7, 2020.
