Virus of the Chinese Communist Party

(Minghui.org) The coronavirus, which broke out in Wuhan in December 2019, has since spread to almost 200 countries and infected more than two million people, with over 150,000 deaths.

During the unfolding of the pandemic, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been punishing whistleblowers, covering up cases, censoring information, shirking responsibilities, and casting itself as the savior of the world. Many people have begun to call the coronavirus the CCP virus.

This pandemic allows us to better recognize and understand the harm that the CCP has brought to China and the rest of the world. A closer examination of the CCP reveals that it shares some common characteristics with the coronavirus. In that sense, the CCP is in itself a virus that is attacking humankind just like the coronavirus. To ward off the attack, it is best to practice social and economic distancing from the CCP. 

CCP as a Virus

The CCP shares a few common characteristics with the coronavirus. 

The first characteristic is the long incubation period. Scientists have discovered that it usually takes 2-14 days for an infected person to exhibit symptoms. The incubation period is the time frame that the coronavirus needs to replicate itself before reaching a threshold that shows symptoms. In places where the communist system or ideology is adopted, it also takes some time for people to recognize the harm when the viral elements penetrate the system and cause dysfunction.

The second characteristic is a lack of detectability. The coronavirus symptoms resemble those of the seasonal flu and a cold, so it is difficult to detect the virus. As a result, many people have missed the best time to treat their symptoms. Similarly, the CCP has been spreading its ideologies during the past few decades when many schools of ideologies and theories are around in our world. It is hard for people to detect the harm of the CCP, especially when the CCP is exploiting freedom of speech to spread its propaganda.

The third characteristic is lethality. The coronavirus attacks the lungs and other vital organs of infected patients. It has caused many causalities within a few short months. The CCP is similar in that wherever it exerts its influence, it spreads its ideology of violence, lies, and disregard for human life, causing harm to members of the community. In China alone, more than 100 million people have died unnatural deaths during the CCP's numerous political movements. 

The fourth characteristic is cunning. The coronavirus appears cunning in that an infected patient may test negative a few times before testing positive, and that a recovered patient may contract the virus again. A Reuters article on February 28, 2020, wrote that “a growing number of discharged coronavirus patients in China and elsewhere are testing positive after recovering, sometimes weeks after being allowed to leave the hospital, which could make the epidemic harder to eradicate.” 

The CCP is similar in its deceiving nature. Some of the western countries that got hit hard by the virus have close ties with the CCP. They had hoped that partnership with the CCP would help turn China into an open and democratic country, only to find themselves fall victim to the CCP's cover-up of coronavirus information.

Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (“Nine Commentaries” hereafter), published by The Epoch Times, gave an in-depth analysis of the Communist Party's genetic makeup. The book pointed out that the Communist Party's inherited traits, such as “relying on violence and terror to gain and maintain power,” “using lies to justify violence,” “ever-changing principles,” and “replacing and eliminating human nature,” have determined its toxic nature. 

Communist Party Kills

Nine Commentaries pointed out that the Communist Party relies on violence and terror to gain and maintain power. Violence often results in the killings of innocent people. 

In a note about Dr. Fred Schwarz's book, Why Communism Kills: The Legacy of Karl Marx, Dr. Walter Judd cited Antonov Ovesyenko, whose father led the Bolshevik storming of the Winter Palace in 1917, as saying those killed as a result of the communist conquest of Russia stood at 100 million. 

Judd also brought up the example of Khmer Rouge, which killed 2-3 million people out of the 7 million people Cambodia had at the time. Judd cited the country's foreign minister Ieng Sary as saying, “As long as we have one million left, that will be enough to make the new man [as described by Marx].” 

Judd added his observation of the killings by Khmer Rouge, “Translating these [Marxist] doctrines into deeds, they ordered the evacuation of the cities of Cambodia. Everyone had to go. No one was exempt for humanitarian reasons. The people were animals and could be treated like animals.” 

The CCP is also notorious for killing its own people. Nine Commentaries wrote, “The number of deaths caused by the CCP’s violence since 1949, when the CCP won the civil war against the Kuomintang and unified China, has surpassed the total deaths during all the wars waged around the world between the founding of the CCP in 1921 and its victory in 1949.” 

The CCP has killed even more after its founding through various political movements. The most recent example is the persecution of Falun Gong, a mind-body practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death for upholding their belief since July 1999 when the persecution began. Some of the practitioners died after their organs were harvested while they were still alive. After forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed in 2006, CCP officials covered it up, claiming that the organ sources were from executed prisoners, and cited a policy in 1984 of collecting organs from executed prisoners. 

Judd emphasized that communism’s doctrines of atheism, materialism, and class struggle, among other things, are “false and deadly.” 

The deadly communist doctrine is still wreaking havoc in the ongoing pandemic, as the CCP’s cover-up has resulted in more than 150,000 confirmed deaths of coronavirus patients.

Communist Party Lies

In order to justify the use of and mask the rule by violence, the Communist Party resorts to “deception and lies,” which according to Nine Commentaries “have played a very important role in the CCP’s gaining and maintaining of control.”

Nine Commentaries wrote, “To make history serve the current regime, the CCP has made a practice of altering and concealing historical truth. The CCP in its propaganda and publications has rewritten history for periods from as early as the Spring and Autumn period (770–476 B.C.) and the Warring States period (475–221 B.C.) to as recently as the Cultural Revolution.”

In recent history, the CCP has fabricated numerous lies against Falun Gong in order to justify its attack on the spiritual discipline. 

The CCP’s cover-up and lies about the coronavirus outbreak is another example. This time, not only China, but the rest of the world has fallen victim to its lies, with businesses shuttered and life turned upside down.

Communist Party Keeps Changing Its Principles 

Nine Commentaries pointed that the Communist Party has no core values to stick to, and keeps changing its principles, “since its establishment 80 years ago, the CCP has held 16 national representative conventions and modified the Party Constitution 16 times. Over the five decades since it came to power, the CCP has made five major modifications to the Chinese Constitution.”

The book stated, “Every change in principles has come from an inevitable crisis faced by the CCP, threatening its legitimacy and survival.” 

The book pointed out, “Communist Party’s evolving principles have largely contradicted one another. From the idea of a global integration transcending the nation-state to today’s extreme nationalism, from eliminating all private ownership and all exploitative classes to today’s notion of promoting capitalists to join the Party, yesterday’s principles have become reversed in today’s politics, with further change expected tomorrow… No matter how often the CCP changes its principles, the goals remain clear: gaining and maintaining power and sustaining absolute control of society.”

The CCP was very supportive of Falun Gong when it was first introduced to the public in 1992, due to its miraculous power in improving health and character. However, as more and more people were drawn to the practice, the CCP feared its ever-increasing popularity and started to persecute the practice in 1999.

When it comes to coronavirus, the CCP has also been changing its way of counting infection and death cases. CNBC, a U.S. media outlet, published an article titled, “‘Confusion breeds distrust:’ China keeps changing how it counts coronavirus cases” on February 26, 2020. The article stated, “China’s National Health Commission has now revised national guidelines on responding to the COVID-19 outbreak at least six times since Jan. 22. Two of those changes implemented after Feb. 12 have substantially changed daily case counts.”

On April 17, 2020, Wuhan, the epicenter of coronavirus outbreak, revised the death toll, adding nearly 1,300 more fatalities (a 50% increase), bringing the total reported deaths in the city to 3,869. 

Communist Party Eliminates Human Nature

Nine Commentaries pointed out that “Party nature” is “placed above human nature and feelings” in communist regimes. The book wrote that “Party nature” “transcends humanity” and that “humanity becomes relative and changeable, while Party nature becomes absolute and beyond any doubt or challenge.”

In order to permeate the Party nature into every fiber of society, the CCP has resorted to indoctrination which starts in preschools and kindergartens, where “Party-sanctioned answers to questions—answers that do not comply with common sense or a child’s human nature—are rewarded.”

The indoctrination is further reinforced to those who join the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Upon joining the CCP, all members have to make a vow during the initiation ceremony. Although the vow phrases have changed several times in history, certain key phrases were always included, such as keeping Party secrets, remaining loyal to the Party, devoting oneself to the communism, and never betraying the Party. 

Anyone who does not speak the “Party language” may face punishment by the CCP. In June 1989, then Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping gave the order to kill peaceful democratic movement demonstrators on Tiananmen Square. 

Because of his tough stance in Tiananmen Square Massacre, Jiang Zemin was later promoted the CCP’s General Secretary. When a French reporter asked Jiang about a female college student who was sent to a farm in Sichuan Province because of her involvement in a student movement and was repeatedly raped by local peasants, Jiang replied, “I don’t know if what you said is true or not, but that woman is a violent rioter. Even if it were true, she deserved it.” 

Jiang continued the elimination of human nature during his rule. In July 1999, he ordered the persecution of Falun Gong and vowed to destroy practitioners physically, ruin their reputations, and cut off their financial resources.

On December 30, 2019, Li Wenliang, a doctor and CCP member in Wuhan, was reprimanded for sounding the alarm about the coronavirus. After he was forced to not betray the Party and remain silent, he contracted the virus and later died at the age of 34. 

Dr. Li was not the only one silenced amid the pandemic. Many who sought to speak the truth about the Party's mishandling of the outbreak and disregard for human life were met with retaliation. 

“In the name of Communism we abandoned basic human values,” said Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, adding that was why he was determined to dissolve the Soviet Union.

As the CCP busied itself with maintaining stability and power, the coronavirus outbreak unfolded like a software in execution—coded by communist doctrine, now leaving the world in disaster. 

Time to Say No to the CCP

With the CCP’s continued expansion during the past few decades, many countries have been collaborating with it, hoping the increased partnerships would lead to more openness, and democracy in China. That did not happen, but many western countries continued to work with China due to the financial interests they had in the country.

Had Western society not acquiesced to China’s human rights violations and provided financial support, China would not have been able to influence the World Health Organization and the United Nations as it does today. The world would have been in a better place. 

We rely on social distancing to avoid virus infection. To avoid being harmed by the CCP, we need to do the same, if not more. By following the guidance of our conscience and severing ties with the CCP, we will find a path for a better tomorrow.
