(Minghui.org) Seven years ago, I heard about a lay Buddhist who distributed Falun Gong materials and advised people to renounce their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its two affiliated youth organizations. She was from a village and had a hard life, but she understood that quitting the CCP organizations would lead to salvation. The list of people who she has encouraged to quit the CCP is very long.
I met this woman recently. She has a peaceful appearance and is calm with good health. She walks lightly and doesn't talk much. She looks cheerful. I asked her why she clarified the truth but did not practice Falun Dafa. She said she was a disciple of Buddha Shakyamuni and had her own path. She said without the arrangement of the divine, she could not do many things.
She shared a few stories with me. Once, a big Buddhist meeting was being held on a city square. Soldiers were guarding the event with guns, and the atmosphere was a bit tense. She took a Falun Dafa amulet and walked into the square. She persuaded more than 200 people to quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
On another occasion, she handed out amulets with words about Falun Dafa while on a bus. The bus suddenly hit a dangerous section of road and was about to slide down into a cavern, but it came to a sudden stop without incident. Passengers on the bus said one after another, “We should thank the aunt who gave us the protective amulets.” The lay Buddhist said, “You should thank Falun Dafa's Master. What I gave you are Falun Dafa amulets. You should save yourselves and openly renounce your affiliations with the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers.” Upon hearing her words most of the passengers started to sign their names to quit the CCP organizations. One passenger suddenly yelled, “What you are doing is against the Party. Don’t do that here.” Another passenger replied loudly, “Don’t bully this elderly lady. She is doing good deeds to save people.” With the whole bus watching, the passenger who complained did not dare say another word.
On another occasion, this lady was advising people to quit the CCP in a village when someone reported her to the police, and several police came to arrest her. She told the police, “Don’t rush to arrest me. I am doing good deeds to save people. You really want to arrest me? No wonder so many people want to quit the Party. Take me to wherever you like, as long as I can have something to eat.” In the end, the police left her alone.
This woman was quite renowned for about tens miles around her village. She sells Chinese herbal medicines that are highly effective and people respect her. When people are too poor to pay, she does not charge them for her medicine. She has done many good deeds. She often goes to remote mountain villages to advise people to withdraw from the three CCP organizations. The people in the mountains are very poor and live in thatched houses, but they are simple and honest and quit the CCP organizations with their real names.
One year she was bedridden for four days and had not had any food or water. People thought she had passed away. Later, she said that her Master Buddha Shakyamuni had taken her to visit Falun Dafa's Master in another dimension. When she saw Falun Dafa's Master she quickly knelt down, but he kindly asked her to get up. She raised her head to look up at Dafa's Master. He was as tall as the heavens and had srivatsas all over his body, golden and shining.
Falun Dafa has spread in the world for 28 years now. More than 100 million Falun Dafa practitioners live according to the universe's characteristic of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance to return to their original, true selves. They are even more clear on the gratitude toward Dafa of the sentient beings of different realms, who are all putting in all they have to position themselves properly and await Dafa's salvation.
