Don’t Rely on Ordinary People

(Minghui.org) I was drawn to the U.S. election – a battle between the divine and demonic, righteous and evil – as it was filled with unexpected turns of events and there were so many dangers lurking. 

After the publication of the Minghui editorial article, “We Must Know and Be Clearheaded about Our Principles and Fundamentals,” I immediately began to send forth righteous thoughts for the general election. At the same time, I followed the situation closely every day and read fellow practitioners' sharing articles regarding the topic.

My heart fluctuated with the situation, and I had a hard time calming down. Articles talking about sending forth righteous thoughts really helped me a great deal. I adjusted my state and had more confidence in sending forth righteous thoughts, and my energy seemed to be stronger as well. 

However, I still harbored strong attachments. I had anticipated that Trump, the one chosen by the divine, would turn things around when a surprise event took place at some point. When the Texas lawsuit went to the Supreme Court, I thought that was the special event and the most exciting part of the drama. I felt that it was almost a done deal since conservative justices had the lead and there was so much election fraud evidence that has been discovered. I anticipated seeing a big win for President Trump. But when I went online the next morning, I was extremely disappointed after seeing the case being rejected.

I came to my senses that I was still counting on ordinary people and the Supreme Court to give a fair ruling on the situation. But for us, cultivators of Dafa, how can we rely on ordinary people? With such an attachment while sending forth righteous thoughts, how can I help save sentient beings?

Master taught us:

“Since you're Dafa disciples, you shouldn't put your hopes in so-called "natural" changes, external changes, changes in the ordinary society, or in some favors that someone might do for us. You are Gods, and you are the future rulers of different cosmoses, so who would you count on? All the beings are counting on you!” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

I came to see that I'd gotten the roles of Dafa disciples and ordinary people totally reversed.

After seeing the various disappointing events unfolding, I realized that under the infiltration of the communist evil specter, the democratic, political, legal and other systems in the U.S., once hailed as the “beacon of freedom” that we were so proud of, had been corrupted and degenerated. 

As a cultivator, we should not be caught up in the human affairs of the world. Who should we believe in and trust? We trust Master. We trust Dafa. That is true faith. We should not count on anyone in the human realm. 

Thank you, Master, for giving me this opportunity to realize my attachment of relying on others and for allowing us to mature quickly in the events of the U.S. election.
