1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xu Lihua Taken to Detention Center
A dozen or so plainclothes officers from the Xihu Street Police Station forcibly broke into Ms. Xu Lihua’s home in Yuelu District and arrested her on October 27, 2020. They ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a computer, a set of Falun Dafa books, and printer paper, among other personal items. She was taken to the Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center.
2. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Yuping Harassed
Wei Hu, a residential police officer in Dongguan Community, and Wang Guilin, village head of Dongguan Brigade, broke into Ms. Zhao Yuping’s home in Wancheng District on October 23, 2020. When they tried to take away photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Ms. Zhao stepped forward to stop them. Wei grabbed her by the neck and pressed her to the ground, and almost choked her. Ms. Zhao’s neck was scratched and bleeding, and her forearm was also bleeding.
Since March 2020, the residential police officer have been to Ms. Zhao's home to intimidate her three or four times a month, and her husband is too afraid to return home.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lan Tianju Tried
Ms. Lan Tianju in Hengdian Sub-district, Huangpi District, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on August 11, 2019. She was arrested by officers from the Hengdian Police Station and held in the Dongxihu Detention Center.
She was tried via video-link by the Xinzhou Court on September 12, 2020. The court did not notify her family of the trial. Her lawyer was the only one allowed to attend the hearing. No verdict was announced.
4. [Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Five Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Shujun (70 years old), Ms. Huang Dehua (70 years old), Ms. Yang Fengru (58 years old), a practitioner surnamed Qi (60 years old, gender unknown), and Ms. Zhang Shufen (55 years old) were arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on October 26, 2020.
5. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Jiahua Harassed
Personnel from the Zaojiao Sub-district Administration Office and the Comprehensive Management Office went to Mr. Liu Jiahua’s home on the morning of October 24, 2020. They ordered him to sign the three statements.
After Mr. Liu refused, they resorted to threats. They threatened that if he did not sign, it would adversely impact his child’s education and job prospects. They threatened that they could call his child, and they could even force his child to drop out of college.
Mr. Liu’s family and his elder mother were angered by their implicating the child, and argued with them. The authorities have seriously disrupted the normal life of the Liu family.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Three officers from the Xinxing Police Station, Shuangcheng District, climbed over the wall and entered the home of practitioner Liu Baoqing (gender unknown) on September 25, 2020, to harass Liu Baoqing. They then went to harass Ms. Jin Guirong and Ms. Tang Lijuan, but no one was at home in either place.
Li Chunfu, village head, accompanied officers from the Xinxing Police Station to Mr. Jiang Benmin’s home. They took pictures and asked for his phone number, which he refused to give.
Village officials accompanied officers from the same police station to Mr. Wang Zhengxing’s home in late September 2020. They used their cell phones to take pictures of Mr. Wang as soon as they walked in the door. They also asked him if he was still practicing Falun Gong. He answered yes.
Wang Zhengda, a village official, accompanied two officers, Guan Yinglong and Wang Xin, to Ms. Mu Xiuqing’s home in early October 2020. They asked her if she was still practicing Falun Gong. When she answered yes, they left. They came to her home again in the evening and asked for her phone number.
7. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhou Xiangyang in Critical Condition
Mr. Zhou Xiangyang has been on a hunger strike in the Gangbei Prison. He was taken to the prison hospital in recent days. It was reported that several of his organs had failed and his life is in imminent danger.
8. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Chaoqun Taken to Detention Center
Ms. Li Chaoqun of the Chaisang District was arrested by three police officers on her way home from work on October 25, 2020. She was taken to the Gangkoujie Town Police Station. Her home was ransacked that night, and a hard drive was confiscated.
Ms. Li was taken to the Yujiahe Detention Center on October 27.
9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Fengying Arrested
Ms. Ma Fengying, 75, was arrested by officers from the Qianfoshan Police Station in recent days. Her home was ransacked. Her family brought her home the same day.
10. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Xiurong Harassed
The director of Badaohe Village, the village Party secretary, and two Badaohe Town government officials in Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County went to Ms. Han Xiurong’s home on October 23, 2020. They asked her if she was still practicing Falun Gong. They also demanded that she sign the “three statements.”
11. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fan Yinzhi Arrested
Ms. Fan Yinzhi was arrested over 10 days ago.
12. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Yunmei Detained
Ms. Pan Yunmei and her 90-year-old mother from Nanzamu Town, Xinbin County, were planning to go to Changchun City to see a doctor on October 10, 2020. Ms. Pan was arrested by officers from the North Railway Police Station when they were checking in at the Shenyang Railway Station. Her home was ransacked, and all her Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
Ms. Pan was held in the Shenyang Detention Center for 15 days. She returned home on October 27.
13. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Lingge Held in Custody
Over 10 officers from the Guitang Police Station and the Liuyang Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Lingge’s mother at around 11 p.m. on October 27, 2020. They handcuffed Ms. Zhang, and ordered her mother to sit on the bed and not move. They then took away their cell phones and confiscated several copies of Falun Dafa books.
After 2 p.m. Ms. Zhang, who was in handcuffs, was taken to her low-rent house for a search, where the officers took pictures. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Guitang Police Station. Information about her situation there is not available at this time.
14. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Shichun’s Home Ransacked
Hu Kaicui and two other people from Bailu Town broke into Ms. Liu Shichun’s home and ransacked the place on October 20, 2020. They confiscated Falun Dafa books.
15. [Shanghai] Ms. Tao Juxian and Ms. Zhu Xiufeng Held in Prison
Ms. Tao Juxian was given a two-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Railway Transport Court on December 28, 2019. Her daughter, who is paralyzed and bedridden, is having a very difficult time now.
Ms. Zhu Xiufeng was given a two-year-and-nine-month prison term and fined 10,000 yuan by the Railway Transport Court on December 25, 2019.
Both practitioners were taken to the Songjiang Women’s Prison on October 18, 2020.
16. [Shanghai] Ms. Gu Baoqun Harassed
Zheng Weiguang, an officer from the Gulu Police Station, Caolu Town, Pudong New Area, harassed Ms. Gu Baoqun on October 15, 2020. She was told that she was needed at the police station to have her palmprints collected. Zheng threatened that the police would take coercive measures if she did not cooperate, and they would handcuff her and take her there.
17. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Furong and Ms. Su Donghui Arrested
Around 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. in the morning of October 28, 2020, the Changsha City Police Department took coordinated action in various districts, arrested several Falun Gong practitioners, and ransacked their homes. Those who have been arrested include Ms. Zhang Furong and Ms. Su Donghui.
18. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Meiying Held in Detention Center
Ms. Wang Meiying from Hengshan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, was arrested at home by officers from the Fanyu District Police Department, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province on September 7, 2020. She is being held in the Fanyu District Detention Center, Guangzhou City.
19. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Xue Ziqing, 83, Ms. Zhao Jifeng, and another practitioner (gender unknown), who had come to Jinan City to visit his or her son from out of town, were arrested by officers from the Qianfoshan Police Station while talking to people about Falun Gong in the Thousand Buddha Mountain area on September 27, 2020. Their homes were ransacked. They returned home after 11 p.m. that evening.
Ms. Zhao was subsequently detained for 15 days. Ms. Xue was released on bail, and her duration of bail is unclear.
20. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Five Practitioners Taken into Custody
Mr. Xu Cunliang, Mr. Zhao Weijun, Ms. Li Wenwen, and two other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zhangjiachuan County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Police Department on October 26, 2020. The five practitioners were taken to the Shuimujinhua Hotel in Zhangjiachuan County for brainwashing for 10 days. They were ordered to write the “three statements,” and those who did not write them were threatened with having their wages suspended and with being expelled from public office.
21. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xiaohong Arrested
Ms. Guan Fengqin, 70, and Ms. Zhang Xiaohong, in her 50s, were reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong informational desk calendars on the morning of October 27, 2020. They were arrested by officers from the Lixin Police Station. They were interrogated in the Huanan County Police Department.
They were taken to the Jiamusi City Detention Center the following morning for 10 days of detention. The detention center refused to admit Ms. Guan due to high blood pressure. Ms. Zhang was placed under administrative detention for 10 days.
22. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Fengyun Harassed
Ms. Liu Fengyun’s family member received a call from the Fanrong Police Station, Ningjiang District, on October 27, 2020. She was ordered to go to the police station to sign paperwork.
23. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Liguo Arrested
Mr. Wang Liguo of the Xing’an District was arrested by officers from the Nanshan Police Department on October 19, 2020. His home was ransacked by five or six officers that evening.
24. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Arrested
Over 10 officers from the Tushan Police Station, Nan’an District, broke into practitioner Yu Hong’s home [Yu’s gender is unknown] in the Nanbinyayuan Residential Community and ransacked the place on the morning of October 25, 2020. They confiscated a computer and U discs, among other personal items. Yu was arrested and is being held in the Chongqing No. 1 Detention Center.
On the afternoon of October 24, Officers from the Tianxing Police Station broke into Ms. Zhou Liangchun’s home and arrested Ms. Zhou, Ms. Yuang Rong, Ms. Zhao Juanjuan, Ms. Zhu Guorong, Ms. Yu Jizhen, and a male practitioner surnamed Wang. The practitioners were taken to the Tianxingqiao Police Station. They were taken to the Shapingba Detention Center the next day. Mr. Wang was released for health reasons. Ms. Zhu was also released. Ms. Yuang’s whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Zhao were detained for 14 days and Ms. Yu was detained for 10 days.
25. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Lin Maocheng Harassed
Mr. Lin Maocheng of the Jinzhou District was arrested at work by three or four officers led by Zhang Chencheng (deputy director of the Dagushan Post in the Development Zone), and four officers from the Development Zone Police Department on July 22, 2020. The officers took Mr. Lin to his home and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a computer, a printer, his national ID card, and his driver’s license.
Mr. Lin was taken to the police station, where he was photographed, fingerprinted, had his voice recorded and blood samples taken. After finishing transcribing the interrogation, the officers tried to force Mr. Lin to sign the transcript, which he refused to do. He was released after midnight.
The Dalian Development Zone Procuratorate brought charges against Mr. Lin on October 20 after reviewing his case.
26. [Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Lianhua Harassed Several Times
Ms. Zhang Lianhua was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong during the peak of the pandemic period. The Xiji County Police Department ordered Xiji County Hospital officials to suspend her from work for 15 days.
Xiji County Political and Legal Affairs Committee personnel went to Ms. Zhang’s department in the hospital to inquire about her work, and returned after finding out that she excelled at her job.
The Xiji County Health Bureau ordered Ms. Zhang to write guarantee statements on October 24, 2020, which she refused.
27. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Mr. Bao Wanming, Mr. Zhou Keming, and Ms. Teng Shuli were arrested on October 12, 2020. They are still being held in the Jixi Detention Center.
28. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Wang Wei (deputy head of the Dongwang Town government) and Wang Yulong (a police officer in Dongwang Village) harassed Mr. Xu Zhimin, Ms. Lu Huiping, and Ms. Li Lanxin in the village on October 21, 2020.
Li Zhanqiang (head of the Dongwang Town government), Zheng Hao (director of the Dongwang Town Police Station), Yao Shuwei, and Yang Liqin (director of the village women’s association) harassed practitioner Deng Xiuqing (gender unknown) on October 23, 2020.
Dongwang Town Government officials and Wu Baojun, Party secretary of Wunudian Village, harassed practitioner Wu Xiaoqiao (gender unknown) on October 23, 2020.
29. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhai Xinhao Arrested
Mr. Zhai Xinhao of the Ninghe District went to work in a Cotton Textile Factory on the morning of October 27, 2020. Two police officers went to his workplace for a talk and ordered him to sign some paperwork. When Mr. Zhai refused, the two officers resorted to threats and enticement.
Later, Mr. Zhai was taken to the Lutai Police Station, where officers took turns pressuring him to sign their paperwork, which he refused. The officers later called his three family members to the police station to persuade him, and it also did not work.
The situation dragged on until past 8 p.m. when the police suddenly decided to release him and his family members.
30. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Songnu Held in Detention Center
Ms. Ying Songnu of Huzhen Town was sentenced to two years in prison in July 2019. The prison refused to accept her because of her high temperature. She was taken back to the Jinyun Detention Center. She has since been transferred to the Lishui Detention Center.
31. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Nan Xubing and Husband Mr. Yang Wenyu Arrested
Ms. Nan Xubing was arrested by Rong Ruyi and other officers from the Jiancaoping Police Station on September 18, 2020 for mailing truth-clarifying materials to Tian Wenhao, deputy head of Jiancaoping District. Her husband Mr. Yang Wenyu was also arrested. Ms. Nan was given a 15-day detention to be served at home due to the epidemic.
32. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Rong’s Home Ransacked
Wang Xin from the Lanxing Community Committee, Xiantao Sub-district, Yubei District, and seven officers from the Shuangfeng Street Police Station went to Ms. Chen Rong’s home and ransacked the place on October 28, 2020. They did not find anything they were looking for.
They ordered Ms. Chen to sign “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong, which she refused. They then threatened her son that if he did not sign for his mother, they would come to their home every day. Her son signed the statements under pressure.
33. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Xiaoxiao Arrested
Practitioner Xiaoxiao (gender unknown) was arrested by six officers from the Changsha City Police Department and the Xinhe Police Station at around 12:35 a.m. on October 27, 2020.
Xiaoxiao was hooded and handcuffed and brought home by the officers, who ransacked the place for over two hours.
34. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Sumei and Mr. Wang Ping Tried
Ms. Ma Sumei and Mr. Wang Ping were tried by the Binzhou City Court on October 26, 2020. No verdict was announced.
35. [Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. He Fen Harassed
Ms. He Fen was held in the Korla City “Study Class” (a brainwashing center) to be forcibly “transformed.” The authorities brought her family to the class on October 11, 2020 to help “transform” her, but to no avail.
36. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Lehong and Ms. Ma Xiaoping Arrested
Ms. Lin Lehong, 44, and Ms. Ma Xiaoping, about 30, from Dafen Oil Painting Village, were arrested in recent days.
37. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xia Jingze Arrested
Liang Li, an official from the Wangyuehu Residential Community, knocked on the door of 74-year-old Ms. Xia Jingze’s home on October 27, 2020. As soon as the door was opened, 12 people rushed in. They immediately restrained Ms. Xia and her daughter in the living room, and started searching the place. They confiscated a mumber of personal items.
At around 7 o’clock that night, Ms. Xia and her son were arrested and taken to the Wangyuehu Police Station, and then transferred to the Yuelu Police Department. They were not released until 1 a.m. The police threatened that she was not allowed to go out to clarify the truth or distribute Falun Gong materials, and someone would be keeping an eye on her every day.
38. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Mei Arrested
Ms. Wang Mei was arrested and her home was ransacked on September 4, 2020, by personnel from the Normal University Community, Peili Sub-district 610 Office, the Peili Police Station, and the Anning Domestic Security Division.
The officers did not present a search warrant. They confiscated a set of Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, printed materials, two computers, a printer, two mobile hard drives, and her “release certificate from the forced labor camp.” (Ms. Wang was sent to a forced labor camp in 2001.)
She was taken to the police station, where she has been on a hunger strike for two and a half days. The officers forcibly took blood samples from her and took her to the Lanzhou Air Force Hospital for a CT scan.
On the evening of September 6, Ms. Wang was taken to the Taoshuping Detention Center for a physical examination, which she did not pass. The detention center refused to accept her, and she was taken back to the police station.
She was taken to the Lanzhou City No. 1 Detention Center for three days of detention on September 7, but was held there instead for 25 days. During that period, the Peili Police Station arraigned her three times and ordered her to sign the “three statements,” which she refused.
When Ms. Wang was released at noon on September 29, she signed the “Release Permit” and “Release Permit for Six-Month Residential Surveillance.”
39. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Shuai Yujuan, Ms. Zhou Guangyan, Ms. Cheng Xuehua, and Ms. Sun Guiyu were reported to the police when distributing Falun Gong materials in the Huimin Residential Community on October 11, 2020.
They were body searched and arrested by officers from the Yonggu Police Station. Subsequently, they were taken to the Mishan Hospital for physical exams. The officers forcibly collected fingerprints and DNA samples from Ms. Cheng.
The four practitioners were taken to the Mishan City Detention Center at around 11:20 p.m.
The detention center refused to accept Ms. Sun because of her high blood pressure. She was brought back to the police station. She was again taken to the detention center at around 2 a.m., but the detention center still refused to admit her. She was then brought back home at around 2:30 a.m.
The other three practitioners were detained for 12 days.
