(Minghui.org) Thirty-five Falun Gong practitioners in four cities of Liaoning Province were arrested for their faith over the course of two days in July 2019. Seven of the practitioners remain in custody at the time of writing and are facing further prosecution for their faith.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

The seven practitioners, who are all residents of Dalian City, were arrested on July 9 and 11, 2019. They are currently held at Dalian City Detention Center. The police have submitted their cases to the procuratorate.

Ms. Wu Chunhua, 57, was arrested on the evening of July 9, 2019, by ten officers from Qixianling Police Station. The police locked her door after ransacking her home and kept one officer near her home to monitor whether other local practitioners came to visit her.

Her family was forced to enter their home through the window when they came back later that night.

The police threatened Ms. Wu’s family that she would get a heavier sentence if they hired a lawyer to represent her or asked local practitioners to help rescue her.

The police also lied to her family that Ms. Wu was reported by another arrested practitioner, Mr. Pan Xueming, 62. But Mr. Pan was arrested after Ms. Wu, on the morning of July 10.

Ms. Yang Ping, 53, Ms. Xie Huixian, 72, Ms. Pan Shufeng, 64, and Ms. Liang Shengmei, 69, were also arrested on July 10.

Ms. Yu Yinghua, 70, was arrested on July 11.
