(Minghui.org) A woman around 80 years old has been held incommunicado for two years for her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Zhang Huiming, a resident of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was arrested in August 2017 when she was at home alone after her husband went on a vacation with their daughter's family.

When her son came to visit her that evening, Ms. Zhang had already been arrested and her daughter's apartment, where she had been living, was in a mess after the police raid.

The police refused to reveal any information about the arrest to her husband and daughter when they rushed home to inquire about her case.

Because Ms. Zhang had been arrested before for putting up information about Falun Gong and was released shortly afterwards, her family suspected that she was targeted for the same reason and would be released soon this time as well.

But she is still in custody two years later.

Only Ms. Zhang's lawyer was allowed to pay her a brief visit at Anjing Detention Center shortly after her arrest. Her family has been denied any visits and have only been allowed to communicate with her through letters. They are now anxious for any information regarding her case.
