(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 54 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Thirteen Practitioners Arrested

Thirteen practitioners and one non-practitioner were arrested on July 19, 2019.

Mr. Chen Jihai and his non-practitioner wife, who was just discharged from the hospital, were arrested at their home in Zhangjia Village, Fengman District, in the early morning. The officers broke into their home by going through the windows.

At the same time, Mr. Song Deman from the same village was arrested by officers from the Fengman District Police Department. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated a laser engraving machine.

Officers from the Beidahu Police Station, Yongji County, broke into Ms. Li Fuzhen’s home and arrested her in the morning.

Ms. Sun Baoyu was arrested at home by officer Zhang Bo and others from the Yongji County 610 Office.

Officers from the Huanxiling Police Station broke into Ms. Cao Yanfen’s home, arrested her, and ransacked her home in the morning.

Officers from the Beishan Police Station broke into Mr. Xu Youcai’s home, arrested him, and ransacked his home. The officers then staked out Mr. Xu’s home and arrested another practitioner.

Ms. Li Liwen and her husband Mr. Su Xiansheng were arrested by the Erdao Township police officers, who had been waiting for them downstairs from their apartment.

Mr. Xu Zhongyou and his wife Ms. Niu Ruanling were arrested at home by officers from the Beishan Police Station, Chuanying District, at around noontime. Their home was ransacked.

Ms. Liu Xiuzhen and Ms. Lu Xueying were also arrested.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Qiang Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiang was arrested at home on the morning of July 19, 2019.

3. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guihong Arrested

Ms. Liu Guihong was arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on July 7, 2019. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, Falun Dafa books, printed materials, and over 5,000 yuan in cash.

4. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Xuewen and Two Other Practitioners Held in Custody

Mr. Yang Xuewen, 71; Ms. Zhang Kuihua, 74; and Ms. Zhang’s daughter Ms. Zhang Guorong, 54; were arrested on July 15-16, 2019. Mr. Yang is being held in the Zhaodong City Detention Center. Both mother and daughter are being held in the Anda City Detention Center.

5. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Shuxian and Ms. Fu Deju Detained

Daliu Township residents Ms. Zhou Shuxian and Ms. Fu Deju were reported to the authorities for distributing Falun Gong materials in Gaotaizi Township on July 13, 2019. They were arrested by officers from the Gaotaizi Township Police Station. Officers from the Gaotaizi Township Police Station and the Daliu Township Police Station later broke into the two practitioners’ homes and ransacked it. Both practitioners are being held in the Shenyang City Detention Center.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xiuchun and Mr. Tian Baochang Detained

Ms. Liu Xiuchun and Mr. Tian Baochang were arrested on July 10, 2019. Ms. Liu is being held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center, while Mr. Tian is in the Heping District Detention Center.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Li Baoqin and Three Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Baoqin and Ms. Hao Qiuying, from Tulou Village, Changping District, were arrested on July 10, 2019. They are being held in the Changping District Detention Center.

Ms. Dong Fuzhen also from Tulou Village was arrested on July 12, 2019. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. She has returned home.

Officers from the Xicheng District Police Department, the Tianqiao Police Station, and a residential officer from the Majiapu area, broke into Mr. Wang Guangzhi’s home in Fengtai District on the morning of July 4, 2019. They held Mr. Wang down on the bed and confiscated about 30 Falun Dafa books. Mr. Wang was taken to the Tianqiao Police Station before being transferred to the Xicheng District Detention Center in the afternoon. He was released on bail due to having high blood pressure.

8. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Over 50 officers from the SWAT Team in Sanshengkou Township broke into Ms. Wu Zengshu’s home in Sidaoheng Village on the afternoon of July 16, 2019. They arrested Ms. Qian Qingsu, Ms. Zheng Shuyun, Ms. Du Yufeng, Ms. Guo Baolun, Ms. Yu Shumei, Ms. Liu Jingren, Ms. Han Fengyun, and Ms. Liu. Ms. Wu, who is over 80 years old, fainted and was not arrested. Ms. Du is in her 60s, while the others are in their 70s or 80s.

The eight arrested practitioners were taken to the Yongqing County Detention Center. Six of them were released at around 10:00 p.m. that evening because they failed their physical exam. Ms. Qian and Ms. Zheng remain in custody.

9. [Raoyang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yanyu Taken Into Custody

Ms. Li Yanyu from Sangyuan Village was reported to the authorities for distributing Falun Gong materials in Wugong Township on July 9, 2019. She was arrested and taken to the Wugong Township Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was transferred to the Raoyang County Detention Center later that day.

10. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Jiying Arrested

Ms. Zhu Jiying and another practitioner with the last name Kong were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Guanjia Village Farmers Market in the Rizhao City Development Zone on July 15, 2019. Practitioner Kong was released that day due to having high blood pressure, but Ms. Zhu was taken to a detention center.

11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guimei Arrested

Ms. Wang Guimei was arrested on July 19, 2019. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Meiying and Husband Arrested

Taitou Town residents Ms. Sui Meiying and her husband were arrested by officers from the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division and the Taitou Police Station on the afternoon of July 12, 2019. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated 4,000 yuan in cash. Both practitioners were taken to the police station. They were later released on bail.

13. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tan Suxiang and Ms. Yue Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Tan Suxiang and Ms. Yue Xiuhua were arrested by officers from the Kangjiazhuang Town Police Station on July 18, 2019. Officers from both the Kangjiazhuang Town Police Station and the Beimeng Police Station ransacked Ms. Yue’s home, and confiscated anything related to Falun Gong.

14. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yan Xinping, who is nearly 80 years old, and her son Mr. Min Xia were arrested recently by Tang Xiaohua and officers from the Tianjia'an Domestic Security Division. Ms. Yan has been hospitalized in the Dongfang Hospital due to her high blood pressure. Her family members are not allowed to visit her. Mr. Min is being held in the Huainan City Detention Center.

Officers from the Yuannan Police Station, Tianjia'an District, arrested 62-year-old Ms. Wang Zhongmin. She was held in the Huainan City Detention Center, and is facing prosecution.

15. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lan Haiping Detained

Ms. Lan Haiping was recently arrested. She is being held in the Nanshan District Detention Center.

16. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Huichan Detained

Ms. Liang Huichan, 77, was arrested by the domestic security officers on the evening of July 10, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and other personal belongings. Ms. Liang is being held in the Guangzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

17. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wan Gongxiang Arrested

Mr. Wan Gongxiang was arrested on July 4, 2019.

18. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xi Xianrong, Ms. Xia Daixiu, Ms. Yang Guihua, and another practitioner from the countryside, were arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of July 18, 2019. The officers took them away in a taxi. The officers ransacked Ms. Xia’s home. Her current whereabouts are unknown, while the other three practitioners were released after 10:00 p.m. that evening.

Ms. Liang Qinhuai, 70, and another practitioner with the last name Chen were arrested after grocery shopping on the morning of July 18, 2019. Their homes were ransacked.

19. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Sufang and Husband Arrested

Ms. Zhou Sufang and her husband from Baima Town, Dongpo District, were arrested, and their home ransacked on July 15, 2019. The couple have returned home.
