Additional Persecution News from China – March 27, 2019 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Mo Qibing Missing

Mr. Mo Qibing, in his 40s, from Hengbanqiao Village, Huaguoshan Township, Taojiang County, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, operated a computer company in Zhejiang Province. He was arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Changsha Train Station on April 29, 2013. He was taken by the Yiyang City Domestic Security Division to the Yiyang City No. 2 Detention Center. The police confiscated more than 200,000 yuan in cash and from his passbook cards, and computers.

Mr. Mo was given a three-year prison term by the Yiyang City 610 Office and the Yiyang City Intermediate Court at the end of 2013. He was taken to the Wangling Prison, Hunan Province.

He returned home after his prison term ended in June 2016. He then went to Zhejiang to work on odd jobs. It has been over a year since anyone heard anything about him.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Yawen Detained

Ms. Zheng Yawen was recently arrested in Xinjiang. She is being held in the Yanji City Detention Center.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Mu Junkui Taken Into Custody

Mr. Mu Junkui was arrested on March 20, 2019. He was held in the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Leizhen Detained

Ms. Zhang Leizhen was arrested by officers from the Tianpeng Town Police Station when she talked to others about Falun Gong on March 23, 2019. She was taken to the Anjing Detention Center, Pidu District, Chengdu City.

5. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Tong Xianzhen Faces Trial

Ms. Tong Xianzhen, 73, is scheduled to be tried by the Wuhua District Court on April 19, 2019.

6. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Yuhai's Case Turned Over to Court

Mr. Zhao Yuhai was arrested by officers from the Gongqulu Police Station, Shihe District, and the Xinyang City Police Department on October 19, 2018. He was held in the Huangchuan County Detention Center, where he developed high blood pressure due to abuse. His case was filed with the court.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Ying Arrested

Ms. Jiang Ying from Guangmingshan Town, Zhuanghe City, was arrested in early March 2019 for talking to others about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Sun Renlan Detained

Ms. Sun Renlan, about 60, from Yubei District, was arrested and taken to the Baoshenghu Police Station when she was distributing Falun Gong materials in the Huixing area, Yubei District, on the morning of February 18, 2019. She was detained for 10 days.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zou Shulian Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zou Shulian was arrested by officers from the Tongxiang Police Station when she was distributing Falun Gong materials on March 11, 2019. She was sentenced to four years in prison in October 2018. She is being held in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison.

10. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Jinshu Faces Trial

Ms. Gao Jinshu received a phone call from the Anda City Court on February 26, 2019. She was told to go to the court to change the indictment. When Ms. Gao and her lawyer went to the court the following day she was arrested and taken to the Anda City Detention Center. Her blood pressure reached 260, accompanied by headache as a result of abuse. She is scheduled for trial on April 16 at the Anda City Court.
