(Minghui.org) Mr. Jiang Chaolin, 77, is a retired medical doctor in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. He went to visit his 90-year-old brother-in-law in Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. He was stopped and detained for eight hours at the train station on his way home the next day, February 10, 2019.
The train station's gatekeeper stopped him to check his identification. He then summoned officers from the Chongqing Railroad Police Department and the Zhaotong Police Station. After being arrested, Mr. Jiang questioned the officers, demanding the rationale for the arrest. They responded that their superiors instructed them to search every Falun Gong practitioner traveling through the train station.
The officers interrogated him for about 8 hours. They also seized his cell phone and a few memory cards. They notified the police at Longquan Police Station to come videotape Mr. Jiang, who was released after that.
Since Mr. Jiang's train ticket expired, he bought another the next day. The gatekeeper reported him again, however, but the officers gave up after Mr. Jiang protested.
Mr. Jiang had been arrested previously and taken to the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp for two years in 2001. He was released to seek medical treatment when he nearly died from being tortured.
He was taken to the same forced labor camp for three years for distributing Dafa informational materials in 2004. He was severely beaten and tortured for over fifty days.
