Additional Persecution News from China – December 23, 2018 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Ren Suxiang Detained

Ms. Ren Suxiang, from Bajia Village, Nanmiao Team, Yuanbaoshan Town in the Yuanbaoshan District, was arrested by officers from the Yuanbaoshan District Police Department on the morning of December 18, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Ren is being held in the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Mingyu, Ms. Jin Guofang, Ms. Zhou, and two other practitioners, from Sihe Town, Yushu City, were arrested on December 20, 2018. Ms. Zhou was released, while Ms. Lu, Ms. Jin, and Ms. Zhou were taken to a detention center.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Guizhi's Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Xu Guizhi was arrested on December 6, 2018, and her home was ransacked. She was held for four days before being transferred to a detention center. Her case has been turned over to the Procuratorate.

4. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lin, Ms. Zhao Yuhua, Mr. Wang Hongwu, and Mr. Zhao Qiuwu, from Wulian County, were arrested by officers from the Songbai Town Police Station on November 22, 2018, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong in Songbai.

Ms. Zhao and Ms. Lin were released on bail on December 22, after each was forced to pay 2,000 yuan. Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhao are being held in the Wulian Detention Center.

5. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Hu Lizhen Detained

Ms. Hu Lizhen, 78, was arrested on September 28, 2018. She is being held in the Nanshan Detention Center.

6. [Nanzhao County, Henan Province] Mr. Ma Fei and His Wife Ms. Wei Yuzhen Facing Trial

Mr. Ma Fei and his wife Ms. Wei Yuzhen were arrested by Liu Guosong, head of the Nanzhao County Domestic Security Division, officer Zhang Yiqun, and others on the afternoon of December 5, 2017.

Mr. Ma was officially arrested by the Nanzhao Procuratorate on January 9, 2018.

Mr. Ma and Ms. Wei's cases were turned over to the Tanghe Procuratorate on December 6, and filed with the Tanghe Court. The couple are facing trial.

7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Liru Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wu Liru from the Yuelu District was arrested on May 26, 2018, for writing “Falun Dafa is Good” in the Lushanmingyuan area. She was taken to the Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center, and was not allowed family visits.

Ms. Wu was sentenced to a one-year prison term and fined 3,000 yuan on December 6.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Xuecun and Ms. Song Shuchun Officially Arrested

Ms. Song Xuecun, 68, and Ms. Song Shuchun, 69, from the Shahekou District, were arrested at home on November 12, 2018. Their residences were ransacked.

Both practitioners have been officially arrested.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cao Limei Placed In Criminal Detention

Ms. Cao Limei, 65, from the Xigang District, was arrested around November 13, 2018, and her home was ransacked. She was placed in criminal detention, and held in the Dalian Detention Center. She has since returned home.

10. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jia Yanfeng Detained

Ms. Jia Yanfeng was arrested at the Dongning City No. 2 Middle School by officers from the Sanchakou Police Station on the afternoon of December 21, 2018. She was taken to the Dongning Police Department, before being transferred to the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.
