(Minghui.org) Officers with the Shulan City Domestic Security Division and the local town police stations collaborated to arrest 12 Falun Gong practitioners and one practitioner's family member around 10:00 p.m. on July 18, 2018.

About four police cars showed up at each practitioner's home. When the officers broke in, many practitioners and their families were asleep. One female practitioner was taken away in her underwear.

Several practitioners were harassed the same night or the next day.

Nine Practitioners Arrested in Fate Town

Six police officers broke into Mr. Xu Hongyu's home. He was handcuffed and taken away. His home was ransacked and his computer, cell phone, and other belongings were confiscated. The place was a shambles and the door was left wide open. Mr. Xu was admitted to the Shulan City Nanshan Detention Center.

Several officers broke into Mr. Wang Zhigang's home and ransacked it. They beat him when he tried to stop them from removing his Falun Gong books. Both Mr. Wang and his wife Mei Yanli were arrested. His wife is not a practitioner and was released the next day.

The police broke into Ms. Li Fengjuan's home when the family was asleep. Ms. Li was in her underwear and the police did not let her put her pants on, although she was allowed to take a pair of pants with her. Ms. Li is being held in the Jilin City Detention Center. They ransacked her home but did not find much. Then they forced Ms. Li's husband to take them to their son's home and ransacked it, too.

The police also broke into the homes of Ms. Li Fengling, Ms. Zheng Haiying, Ms. Cao Guoqin, and Mr. Sun Zhongwei. They arrested the practitioners, ransacked their homes, and confiscated their computers, cell phones, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Cao was released after 15 days of detention, Ms. Zheng was released on August 17, and Ms. Li and Mr. Sun were taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

The police broke into Ms. Guan Shuqin's home late at night and arrested her. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and personal belongings. She was held in the Jilin City Detention Center for 15 days and released on August 3.

The police broke into Mr. Li Bingku's home, arrested him, and ransacked his home. Mr. Li is in his 70s. His daughter, who suffers from a chronic illness, was horrified. His terrified wife cried and shouted so loudly that the neighbors woke up. Mr. Li was released the next day due to high blood pressure. His wife and daughter were traumatized. However, the police came back to his home on August 6 to harass them again.

The police also tried to arrest Mr. Jin Weishen and Ms. Zhao Yanhua but were unsuccessful because neither practitioner was at home.

Three Practitioners Arrested in Baiqi Town

The police broke into Ms. Yang Changjie's home, beat her when she tried to stop them from confiscating her Falun Gong books and cellphone, and arrested her. They detained her in the Lianhua Township Police Station, handcuffing her to an iron chair the entire night. Her legs swelled up and her arms were bruised. She eventually lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. She was then transferred to the Jilin City Detention Center and detained until her release on August 3.

The police also broke into Ms. Zhou Ruirong's home and arrested her. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center but released the next day due to poor health.

When the police tried to arrest Mr. Wang Delong at his home, his wife, who has severe uremia, was so terrified that she screamed and the police had to give up.

The police intercepted Ms. Qu Xiumin on the morning of July 19 when she was on her way to work. They arrested her and confiscated her cellphone and house key. They went to her home and confiscated her computer and her Falun Gong books. Ms. Qu was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

Four Practitioners Harassed in Shulan City

Two officers in plainclothes went to Ms. Niu Yumin's home around 11:00 p.m. on July 18, demanding that they open the door. Ms. Niu and her family refused to comply. They left the building until noon the next day.

On the morning of July 19, the police went to Mr. Liu Guowei's home and ransacked it. They did not find anything that warranted an arrest, so they left.

On the afternoon of July 19, three plainclothes officers went to Ms. Yin Limei's home to harass her. She did not open the door.

On the evening of July 19, the police went to Mr. Li Wancheng's home. Mr. Li refused to open the door.
