(Minghui.org) Seven Taiyuan City residents were seized within hours of each other on June 25, 2018 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

Yingze Police Department ordered the arrest, and they recently forwarded the cases against the seven Falun Gong practitioners to the local procuratorate.

Ms. Sun Zhifen is a native of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. This is not the first time that she has been targeted for her faith. She was given 12 years in prison in the past for her faith in Falun Gong. She was released three years ahead of time when she became critically ill.

The 59-year-old woman moved to Taiyuan to live with her son in 2015, but she was arrested again on June 25, 2018 while hosting three other Falun Gong practitioners, including Ms. Wang Ying, Ms. Hu, and Mr. Luo Baojun.

Ms. Wang, 76, is a native of Hejin City, Shanxi Province. She lives with her son in Taiyuan.

Mr. Luo, in his 60s, is a widower. After he was arrested together with Ms. Sun, Ms. Wang, and Ms. Hu, his home was ransacked by police. Witnesses reported seeing a hole next to the lock on the door and a police tape on the door reading Changfengdong Police Station.

Ms. Zhang Qingxiang and Ms. Zhang Runying were arrested around 9 p.m. on the same day, as soon as they returned to their respective homes. Ms. Wang Suping was arrested at around the same time while she was resting at home.

Ms. Zhang Qingxiang, Ms. Zhang Runying, and Mr. Luo are currently held at Gujiao Detention Center. It is unclear where the other four practitioners are being detained.
