(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 2 were illegally arrested.

1. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Tried

Ms. Gao Xianying, Ms. Zhang Yuanhua, and Ms. Zou Mingying were tried in the Hejiang County Court on June 14, 2018.

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Zhou were released on bail after paying 10,000 yuan.

2. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Xuhong and Ms. Lin Baolan's Cases Turned Over to Police Department

Ms. Yang Xuhong and Ms. Lin Baolan's cases were turned over to the political commissar of the Kazuo County Police Department Jiang Daisheng by the Dachengzi Police on July 11, 2018.

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Li Hong Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Hong was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and appealed to the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate Court. She has been on hunger strike since March 30, 2018, and was force-fed in the Shanghai Prison General Hospital.

Ms. Li was taken back to the Xuhui District Detention Center on July 10, where she was tied to a bed and constantly monitored. She is still on a hunger strike.

4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yuemei and Ms. Wang Meirong's Cases Turned Over to Procuratorate

The Pingdu City Procuratorate ordered Ms. Zhang Yuemei and Ms. Wang Meirong to go to the Prosecution Section on July 10, 2018, as their cases had been transferred there.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhang Renguang, Mr. Wang Shangjie, Mr. Li Jingbo, and Mr. Han Jianhai were arrested by officers from the Dalian City Domestic Security Division and Minquan Police Station on June 11, 2017. They were taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.

The four practitioners were tried at the Shahekou District Court on May 30, 2018.

Mr. Zhang was sentenced to nine-and-a-half years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.Mr. Wang and Mr. Han were each sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan.Mr. Li was sentenced to a three-year prison term with three years of probation and fined 2,000 yuan. He is now being monitored at home.

6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xiulian Detained

Ms. Li Xiulian, in her 60s, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of July 3, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Xi'an Street Wholesale Market in the Guta District. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Li was taken to the Jinzhou City Women's Detention Center.

7. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Yingrong and Ms. Li Huizhen Detained

Ms. Zhang Yingrong and Ms. Li Huizhen were arrested by officers from the Sandu Town Police Station on the afternoon of July 9, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners were taken to a detention center for ten days of detention.
