Canada: Falun Dafa Received Greeting Letters and Proclamations Before Its 26th Anniversary
(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa, a peaceful body, mind, and spiritual practice which originated in ancient China and has become popular in more than 100 countries and regions, received dozens of proclamations and greeting letters from Canadian cities before its 26th anniversary on Falun Dafa Day. Also called Falun Gong, the practice was first introduced to the public in 1992 by its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi.
A greeting letter from Mr. Brian Bowman, the mayor of Winnipeg, praised practitioners for “working very diligently to preserve and promote the fundamental principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” and their “contribution to our rich cultural and spiritual life.”
A letter from Mr. Denis Perrault, the mayor of Swift Current City, on behalf of the Swift Current City Council, congratulates the Falun Dafa Association of Canada at the time of celebrating the 26th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public.
In his letter, Mr. Ron Starr, P. Eng. Councilor Ward 6, extended warm greetings to those attending and supporting the celebration of the 26th Annual Falun Dafa celebration, and praised that the celebration helps promote the fundamental values of moral rectitude.
In his letter, Councillor Josh Matlow of Toronto, stated, “Your emphasis on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is a valuable contribution to our community” and “I respect and support your peaceful, tolerant practice, and your dedication to sharing it with others.”
