Woman Brutally Beaten by Detention Center Guards

(Minghui.org) Ms. Xu Xiujuan has been subjected to frequent and brutal beatings by guards at Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.

Ms. Xu was arrested on June 7, 2017 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Hu Wei, Wang Rui, and Zhai Shuping were confirmed to be mainly responsible for Ms. Xu's beatings at the detention center.

The same three guards also beat other detained Falun Gong practitioners in the past. When Ms. Zhang Xiaojie was detained in 2014, she was once cuffed to a window frame for 13 straight days, during which time she was brutally beaten and pepper sprayed. Practitioner Ms. Lu Jiarong was also pepper sprayed by the same guards.

Ms. Xu's family visited the detention center upon learning of her beatings, but director Li Huaxing denied everything and dared them to sue him and his guards.
