Additional Persecution News from China – February 13, 2018 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Guoxia and Ms. Hu Qinshu Arrested

Ms. Wang Guoxia and Ms. Hu Qinshu were reported when they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on February 11, 2018. The 110 Patrol police officers arrested them and took them to the Jiefangxijie Police Station, where they were interrogated and videotaped. They were released the same day.

2. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Feng Shanghao and Mr. Feng Wenlong Detained

Mr. Feng Shanghao lives in Fengjiazhuangzi Village, Anti Town, Yinan County. He and his son, Mr. Feng Wenlong, were arrested by officers from the Duozhuang Town Police Station on the afternoon of February 11, 2018 when they were driving through Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County. Their car was confiscated. They are being held at the Mengyin Detention Center.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Zhibo Abused in Prison

Mr. Chen Zhibo was imprisoned in the Liwan District on February 28, 2017. He was sentenced to an 18-month prison term and transferred to the Beijiang Prison in Shaoguan City last December. Guards stripped off his clothes in winter and put him under strict management.

4. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Haixia's Case Sent to Procuratorate

Ms. Chen Haixia of Leizhou City is being held at the Leizhou City Rehab Center. The Leizhou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Leizhou City Police Department filed her case with the Chikan District Procuratorate.

5. [Luanping County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Rui Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Rui was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Luanping County Court after he had been held for ten months. He was taken to Jidong Prison in Tangshan City on January 15, 2018. The guards have deprived him of his family visits.

6. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Guo Yulian's Case Sent to Court

Ms. Guo Yulian, 78, lives in Xuxin Village, Shuangcheng Town. The Liangzhou District Procuratorate filed her case with the Liangzhou District Court on February 8, 2018.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tao Yuzhen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Tao Yuzhen from Ganjingzi District was arrested in 2016, and has since been held at the Yaojia Detention Center. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. She has appealed her sentence.

Ms. Li Xiuyun was arrested at home on February 12, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Hui Detained

Ms. Wang Hui was arrested by officers from the Huizhan Police Department. She is being held at Daqing Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Chaojun, 40, was arrested at work in Qiqihar City by officers from Tianjin on the afternoon of February 8, 2018. His home was ransacked, and his computer, notebook computer, and other belongings were confiscated. He is being held in Tianjin.
