Gaining Wisdom
Teacher has purified my body, endured a lot of karma for me and often gives me hints, protects me, and strengthens me. I am deeply indebted to Teacher for everything He has done for me.
I was illiterate before cultivating in Dafa but was able to listen to Teacher’s lecture recordings and participated in Fa-spreading activities. I gradually learned how to read by studying Zhuan Falun whenever I found the time. Teacher told us, “In cultivation of the Buddha Fa, you should strive forward vigorously.” (Zhuan Falun)
Walking to Beijing to Appeal for Dafa
Just a few years after I began to cultivate in Dafa, I faced the persecution. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) used its state media to slander Dafa and Teacher Li Hongzhi. Many of our local practitioners decided to go to Beijing to clarify the facts, and petition for justice for Falun Dafa.
I decided to walk to Beijing, as I lacked the funds for transportation. On the way there, I met another practitioner who had also decided to walk to Beijing. It took us 10 days to reach Beijing.
We went to Tiananmen Square and the Appeals Office on Fuyou Street. The large crowd of people at the appeals office was surrounded by police officers. One officer asked why I was there. I said, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
After that, we walked home together. We were not tired, and our feet did not get any blisters. Even the weather was pleasant.
Teacher Protects Practitioners
Teacher said,
“Lay down your human, mundane mind, The Fa gained, you now stand divine…” (“Salvation Far and Wide” from Hong Yin)
I have witnessed the power of Dafa many times. Every time I thought of giving a practitioner Falun Dafa materials, the practitioner showed up at my door, and when I clarified the facts to people, they quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I often carried a bag of materials to the markets, but policemen did not stop me.
A policeman saw me once when I was distributing Dafa materials. He asked me what I was doing, so I handed him a brochure. After reading it, he let me go.
Teacher protects us and encourages me to be more diligent. Doing the three things well is the only means I have to live up to Teacher’s compassion and expectations of me.
