Additional Persecution News from China – February 1, 2018 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 were illegally arrested.

1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yue Sheguo Still In Detention

Mr. Yue Sheguo is still being held at Yongnian District Detention Center.

2. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Three practitioners of Gaofangzi Village in Yanjia Town, Ms. Zhang Ying, Ms. Tian E, and Ms. Li Xiuping, were arrested by officers from the Jianye Township Police Station on January 27, 2018. They are being held at Jinzhou Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Yu’an of Sanhe Village was arrested by officers from the Jianye Township Police Station on January 27, 2018. He was released that afternoon. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and discs.

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Wenlong On Trial

The trial against Mr. Zhang Wenlong was held secretly on January 30, 2018.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Yuhua Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Cui Yuhua was arrested on the afternoon of January 26, 2018, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts is unknown.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Fei Yunxiang Detained

Mr. Fei Yunxiang of Changchun City was arrested and taken to Guangming Police Station in Taonan City. He was given to criminal detention and is being held at Taonan City Detention Center.

6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Huijie Sentenced

Ms. Wang Huijie was sentenced to a one-year prison term.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Aiying Held at Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhou Aiying is being held in the Yushunshan Brainwashing Center, Jianghan District.

8. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhen Imprisoned

Ms. Wang Yuzhen was arrested on October 12, 2016. She was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 40,000 yuan. She has been imprisoned in Jilin Province Women's Prison since January 9, 2018.

9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chi Xiaomei Detained

Ms. Chi Xiaomei was reported for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the afternoon of January 29, 2018. Officers from the High Tech Development District Domestic Security Division and Dongming Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home. She is being held at Weifang Detention Center.

10. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Jiahua of Xigu Street in Hongqiao District was arrested on December 28, 2017 at her parents' home in Yibai Road, Beichen District. Her sister Lan, living in Mazhuang, Beichen District, and Ms. Jiang Pingjun, who is blind, were arrested at the same time. Ms. Jiang is being held at Hongqiao Detention Center.

11. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Huang Huanzhen and another practitioner were arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials by officers from the Lihaiwu Police Station. They were given 10 days detention in a detention center.

12. [Changshu City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Tian Benying Has Been Detained Over Ten Months

Mr. Tian Benying from Cao County, Shandong Province works in Changshu City. He was arrested on April 14, 2017 for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials. His home was ransacked. He has been held at Changshu City Detention Center since then. Therefore, his wife and six-year-old son are experiencing financial difficulties.

Mr. Tian walked to Beijing in July, 1999 to appeal for the right of practicing Falun Gong. He was arrested and given forced labor.
