Additional Persecution News from China – January 28, 2018 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 were illegally arrested.

1. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Liu Jingmin, Ms. Liu Yingchun, and Mr. Yan Xinliang were recently sentenced to prison by the No. 2 Criminal Tribunal, Luohe City Intermediate Court. Mr. Yan went on a hunger strike and he was released. Ms. Liu appealed.

2. [Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ma Yitao and Mr. Li Xueliang were taken to the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center on January 15, 2018. Ms. Sheng Chunxia and Ma Yingjie were taken to the Daowai District Detention Center.

3. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qin Yanqiu Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Qin Yanqiu was recently sentenced to prison.

4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Qiaobian Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Qiaobian is facing a trial on February 6, 2018.

5. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. You Hongyan Detained

Ms. You Hongyan from Hengshan District was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials at the Pinggang farmers market on the morning of January 27, 2018. She was arrested and detained for seven days in the Jixi Detention Center.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Caizhi Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Li Caizhi from Ningcheng County was recently given a three-year prison term. She appealed. Her case was turned over to the Chifeng City Intermediate Court.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hongyan Detained

Ms. Li Hongyan from Binhe Residential Community was arrested by officers from the Jilin Street Police Station on the morning of January 27, 2018. She was detained for five days.

8. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yan Baoli Detained

Ms. Yan Baoli from Fengxiang County was arrested by officers from the 110 Response Unit when she talked to people about Falun Gong in the county's downtown area on the evening of January 19, 2018. She was held in the Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center.

9. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Zhongrong Detained

Ms. Xu Zhongrong from Jiangyou City was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on December 25, 2017. She was arrested and taken to the Zhongba Police Station. She was detained for 10 days. She was tied up in an iron chair, with her hands, feet, and torso restrained by locked iron plates.

10. [Duyun City, Huizhou Province] Ms. Huang Yuqing Detained

Ms. Huang Yuqing was followed and arrested on the morning of December 12, 2017 for posting Falun Gong materials in the streets. She was held in the Duyun Drug Rehabilitation Center for 10 days.
