Additional Persecution News from China – November 11, 2018 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 were illegally arrested.

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Sixteen Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Deli, Ms. Yan Yuzhen, Mr. Zhang Lizhi, Mr. Liu Wenxi, Ms. Liu Yanxia, Mr. Li Jingru, Mr. Gao Guoqing, Mr. Bai Yufu, Mr. Dai Yi, Ms. Jin Miao, Ms. Qing Jinwei, Ms. Li Rongfen, Ms. Li Bingying, Ms. Shi Liya, Mr. Liu Enxi, and Mr. Ge Aiguo were arrested on November 9, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Yan, Mr. Zhang, and Ms. Liu were released later that day.Mr. Liu Wenxi is being held in the Daqing Detention Center.Ms. Li is being detained for 15 days.The other practitioners are being held in unknown locations.

2. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Shumei Sentenced

Ms. Chen Shumei from Jingyu County was arrested by Xue Jun, head of the Jingyu County Domestic Security Division, and other officers on November 1, 2017.

Ms. Chen's case was passed to the Jingyu County Court on February 8, 2018. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on October 31.

3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Update on Ms. Zhou Jingchun's Arrest

Ms. Zhou Jingchun was arrested at home on the evening of November 8, 2018, and taken to the Yongyang Town Police Station.

Ms. Zhou was later transferred to the Laishui County Detention Center, where she underwent a physical exam. The results revealed that she had a blocked artery and high blood pressure. The guards forced her son to pay 3,000 yuan before releasing her on November 11.

4. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhiqin and His Wife Ms. Cao Yachun on Trial

The Luannan County Court held a trial for Mr. Wang Zhiqin and his wife Ms. Cao Yachun on November 3, 2018.

Mr. Wang is being held in the Luannan County Detention Center, while Ms. Cao is being held in Tangshan No.1 Detention Center.

5. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Shimin Left Paralyzed in Prison

Ms. Wang Shimin from Beixin Township, Linyi County was taken from the Qi County Prison to Sunji Town Hospital by officers from the Linyi 610 Office on November 6, 2018, when her six year prison term ended.

The right side of her body was left paralyzed due to mistreatment she received in Qi Prison.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Airong Detained

Ms. Zhang Airong from Changyi City was arrested by officers from the Zhashan Police Station on November 10, 2018, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang is being held in the Zhashan Police Station.

7. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Qiu Ling, Ms. Xiaochuan, and other practitioners were arrested on November 8, 2018, when they were distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

8. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Gui Zhen Detained

Ms. Gui Zhen from Yuzhou City was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of November 10, 2018, when she was handing out desktop calendars containing Falun Gong information. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Gui is being held in the Yuzhou City Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Yuling from Botou City was arrested by officers from the Haocun Town Police Station on the afternoon of May 17, 2018. She is being held in the Renqiu Detention Center.

The Renqiu Court will put Ms. Wang on trial on November 14, 2018.

10. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Meilan Arrested

Ms. Wu Meilan from Pingsha Town was arrested at home by Yang Guohua, head of the Pingsha Domestic Security Division, and other officers on the morning of November 5, 2018.

11. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Chongzhen Detained

Mr. Sun Chongzhen from Shigou Village in Dadian Town was arrested at home by officers from the Junan County Domestic Security Division and Dadian Police Station. His Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Mr. Sun was held in the Junan County Detention Center for ten days.

12. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Weiyuan Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chen Weiyuan was sentenced to three years in prison by the Changyi District Procuratorate.
