(Minghui.org) “We must do something,” said Theo after hearing about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The high school student decided to take action by helping practitioners hand out flyers and collect signatures at Trafalgar Square.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and conducted other activities at Trafalgar Square on October 27, 2018 to raise awareness of the persecution. Many passersby accepted flyers and stopped to talk with practitioners. They also signed a petition condemning the persecution in China.

Theo said he had heard of Falun Gong and had seen practitioners peacefully protesting before, but he was appalled when he learned the extent of the persecution. “How come such a peaceful practice is persecuted? How come this is happening? I never thought it would be so bad!” he exclaimed, referring to the Chinese regime’s state-sanctioned killing of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs.

Another high school student signed the petition and expressed hope that his signature would help stop the CCP's brutality.

Marlyn signs the petition on Trafalgar Square

Marlyn, a retired social worker, was attending another event when the practitioners' event caught her attention. She said that she had heard of Falun Gong before but never knew about the persecution. After reading the information and talking to a practitioner, she said, “It's terrible. It seems they [the CCP] do not care about human rights, only power, greed and corruption.”

She said it was great that practitioners were holding an activity to help more people learn about the persecution. She said their efforts would prevail over the evil.
