Additional Persecution News from China – October 3, 2018 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, at least 12 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested or subjected to mistreatment.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Jiao Shuxian Arrested

1. [Beijing] Mr. Jiao Shuxian Arrested

Mr. Jiao Shuxian, from the Miyun District of Beijing, was recently arrested by personnel from the 610 Office, Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Domestic Security Division, and officers from Chengdu City in Sichuan Province.

Mr. Jiao is being held in the Miyun Detention Center.

2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Mr. Shan Baogui, Mr. Fu Wencheng, Ms. Mu Yanping, Ms. Zhao Yazhen, Ms. Sun Guiying, and Ms. Han Xuemei, from the Bayuquan District, were arrested on August 23, 2018.

Ms. Zhao, Ms. Sun, and Ms. Han were detained for 15 days, while Mr. Fu and Ms. Mu were held for over a month and returned home on September 26.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Su Arrested

Ms. Su, 77, was arrested on September 21, 2018, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials near a train station. Her home was ransacked.

4. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Peng Cuiping Detained

Ms. Peng Cuiping, in her sixties, from Qishan County, was arrested by Qishan 610 Office agents on September 27, 2018, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Baoji Detention Center to be held for ten days.

5. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Li Youwu Taken to Prison

Mr. Li Youwu was sentenced to eight years in prison on July 6, 2018. He appealed, but Judge Xu Sanqing from the Xinyu Intermediate Court secretly made the final decision and upheld the original verdict in September.

Mr. Li was taken to Hongdu Prison on September 28.

6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Lizhen Detained

Ms. Lin Lizhen was arrested at her father’s home on August 31, 2018. She is being held in the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Lin's lawyer went to visit her on September 25, and found out that she had been forced to sleep near the toilet for more than 20 days. The guard had stuffed her mouth with cloth when she shouted “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” on the way to a physical examination. She was also made to do hard labor, as she would not be given food if she didn’t do it. The workload was heavy.

Her family is worried about her health.

7. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yuling Detained

Ms. Wang Yuling was arrested on May 17, 2018, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Cangzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang's family hired a lawyer, who tried to visit her, but was told that she had been transferred somewhere else. Her family finally learned that Ms. Wang had been transferred to Renqiu Detention Center.
