(Minghui.org) Police in Linyi City, Shandong Province, broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Jiafang on May 23, 2018. Officers arrested her, ransacked her home, and seized a computer, a printer, five bank deposit certificates, and several Falun Gong books.

Ms. Li was home alone at the time, and her family was not notified of Ms. Li's arrest. They reported her missing to the police a few days later, only to learn that she had been arrested by domestic security officers.

The captain of the domestic security division tried to incriminate her and get the procurator to indict her for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the communist regime. The Linyi City procuratorate returned the case to the domestic security division for insufficient evidence. But the domestic security captain refused to release Ms. Li and continued to persecute her. She has been detained there for five months.

Ms. Li worked for a private company and was doing well financially. She inherited some assets from her parents, which she held in the five bank certificates. The police refused to return them to her.
