(Minghui.org) Two Beijing residents were arrested on March 28, 2017 after being reported for distributing materials exposing the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Ms. Dong Ying, 28, and Ms. Zhang Qi, 29, both started practicing Falun Gong in 2012 and credit the practice for enabling them to break their bad habits. Ms. Dong quit smoking and drinking, and Ms. Zhang was no longer addicted to video games. Having had firsthand experience with Falun Gong, the two young women told people that the persecution is wrong.
Their efforts, however, landed them in police custody. They both remain at Tongzhou Detention Center. According to insiders, Ms. Zhang was only allowed three hours of sleep every night during a three-day period.
