(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Mei, from Chikan District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, has been detained at the Mazhang District No. 1 Detention Center for nearly nine months.
The Chikan District Police Department submitted her case to the Procuratorate, but it was returned for insufficient evidence. It was then resubmitted a second time.

Arrested for Sending Text Messages About Falun Gong
Ms. Yu Mei and Ms. Su Guiying were arrested by officers from the Zhonghua Police Station and the Chikan District Police Department on the evening of August 31, 2016, for telling the public the facts about Falun Gong via text messages.
Huang Zuhua, head of Chikan District's 610 Office, along with a policeman in uniform, several men in plainclothes, and a woman from the neighborhood committee, came to Ms. Yu’s home the next day.
They broke the door lock, ransacked the home, and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, and other personal belongings. They forced Ms. Yu's daughter to sign documents.
Ms. Yu's family received her arrest document on September 31, 2016. She was falsely charged with “sabotaging public telecommunication facilities.”
The Chikan District Police Department submitted her case to the Chikan District Procuratorate on December 9, 2016, but the case was returned for insufficient evidence and re-submitted on April 21, 2017.
Ms. Yu's family members and attorney tried to see Procuratorate representative Huang Ju on May 11, 2017, to review the case.
When they spoke with her on the phone, Huang Ju first claimed that she was in the prosecution division on the fourth floor. But when they arrived a few minutes later, they were informed Huang Ju had left for the detention center.
Benefits Derived by Practicing Falun Gong and Harm Caused by the Persecution
Ms. Yu, 50, suffered from several illnesses before practicing Falun Gong. She lived a very hard life.
Her health problems were a big burden to her family, but after she practiced Falun Gong, she became healthy.
Yet, after the persecution of Falun Gong began, Ms. Yu and her family were harmed greatly. She has been on the verge of death three times from being tortured during the ongoing persecution.
Ms. Yu filed a criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, on July 10, 2015, for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong, which caused great harm to her and her family.
