(Minghui.org) My friend Gao Jie (pseudonym) is a trailer truck driver. His trucking business was not doing well. Consequently, he sometimes had to lease out the truck and look for other work. Without a stable income, he had a hard time paying his expenses of maintenance, repair, and insurance for his truck.
He visited me for a chat once in a while. After I talked to him about the facts of Falun Dafa, he withdrew his membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
He told me that his friend’s wife had undergone several surgeries, so her health condition was very poor. He also said that she wanted to read Falun Dafa books because she'd heard that it had great health benefits. He borrowed the book Zhuan Falun from me and passed it on to her.
When he visited me again, he told me about her improvement. After she read the book, she recovered and was able to go downstairs by herself. She was very happy to say that the more she read the book, the more peaceful and pleasant she felt.
I always used Dafa's teachings to guide Gao Jie when I talked to him. He listened and began to follow the teachings. He learned the principle of “no loss, no gain,” so he stopped fighting with others for profits. He became calmer and more considerate of others. He did things with a peaceful mind because he knew that whatever belonged to him, would be his.
He began to have the right attitude towards people and in doing things. As a result, when others delayed unloading his truck, he would wait calmly instead of yelling angrily. He told me that he is no longer anxious and rushing around, worrying about money. His temper also has improved. Although he has not practiced Falun Dafa yet, his mind has been purified by Dafa.
After he withdrew from the CCP, I reminded him that he should ask his family toalso withdraw. It was close to the Chinese New Year. I suggested that he could tell his family and friends about Dafa when gathering for the New Year. The next time he came to visit, he brought me a list of his family members who wanted to withdraw from the CCP.
Every time on returning home from a long trip, he came to visit me and brought a list of people's names who wanted to withdraw from the CCP.
Every time Gao Jie saw me, he said, “It is really great! My mind has become calmer!”
I often give him Dafa truth-clarification pamphlets and CDs. He reads or watches them and said that these materials helped him explain the facts more clearly.
He no longer has to worry about his income. A factory gave him several months of trailer truck work. The pay is high and steady.
