(Minghui.org) I met my husband in college in 2004. He was a kind and simple man, always smiling. When I met him, he told me that he practiced Falun Dafa and followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. These words became imprinted in my heart.
He later gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I read it once and knew that this practice had nothing to do with politics, unlike the rumors I had heard.
He explained that the self-immolation by supposed Falun Dafa practitioners in Tiananmen Square was staged in order to deceive the Chinese people. I saw for myself a picture of Wang Jindong, the supposed practitioner, sitting on the ground after the immolation stunt with burnt hair and a black face, yet there was an unburned green plastic bottle in his lap.
I decided to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I came to see how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had led the Cultural Revolution and how the party has cheated, deceived, threatened, and murdered countless Chinese people. I knew this book held the truth. There is no freedom of religion in my country.
My husband pointed out that we were forced to swear ourselves into the party when we were young. We vowed to give our lives to serve the CCP, yet the CCP had murdered countless Chinese people. Why would the CCP force students to join the party while they were young? They did it before we were able to think for ourselves. Once I had gained this perspective, I urged others to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Taking up the practice has changed my life. I am no longer pessimistic. I feel hopeful about life. I know now that there are good people in this world, as well as Buddhas and Gods. I must be a good, kind person.
Once I began practicing I found a great sales job. I was assigned to a large account, and one year later, my sales made up 70% of the entire department. I was even sent to America and Canada to participate in trade shows, but I was not attached to profit or fame. I never fought or competed with my coworkers. Both my boss and my customers were pleased with me.
Just as I was thinking about changing jobs a few years later, a foreign job scout offered me a great opportunity in a good company. I took the job, building a solid foundation for my future career. It was all because my heart had changed for the better and I thus attracted good people to my life.
Persecution of Good People
In 2011, my husband was sent to prison. He had spoken to others about Falun Dafa, and someone reported him to the police. My husband is a good person—all the practitioners who go out in public to clarify the truth about the persecution are good people. They treat the strangers they meet like their own family. They set aside their own comfort, in hopes of awakening people’s consciences.
These good people are illegally detained, and some are even being tortured in the prisons. The CCP uses violence in an attempt to force them to give up their belief in Falun Dafa. These detained practitioners have families, parents, and children. We must stand up for justice.
Many people now know that this persecution was Jiang Zemin’s own doing. He is the one who has committed this crime. He is the one who has violated the law. There are more than 200,000 people that have filed criminal complaints against him. We should all stand on the side of justice. I hope everyone comes to see the truth and chooses a bright future for themselves.
