Additional Persecution News from China – November 30, 2017 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Shi Yuanshun and His Wife Ms. Yang Wenying Detained

Mr. Shi Yuanshun and his wife Ms. Yang Wenying, both in their 70s, were arrested by officers from the Fuwai Street Police Station in the Xicheng District on August 25, 2017.

Mr. Shi and Ms. Yang were taken to the Xicheng Detention Center. They both developed symptoms of high blood pressure as a result of persecution.

Ms. Yang was transferred to the Beijing No. 2 Detention Center on October 7. She has been held there for nearly two months.

The couple's family has repeatedly requested their release.

2. [Jinxiang County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Han Detained

A practitioner with the last name Han was arrested for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong on the afternoon of November 15, 2017. The police ransacked Han's home and confiscated two printers, a computer, and other items totaling over 20,000 yuan.

Han was taken to the Jinxiang County Detention Center.

3. [Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Feng Ying Arrested

Ms. Feng Ying was arrested on November 26, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

4. [Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Detained

Ms. Lei Xiuhua from Dayangshu Town was arrested at her shoe store by officers from the Qiaodong Police Station and the Oroqen Banner Domestic Secretary Division on November 21, 2017. She is being held in the Oroqen Banner Detention Center.

Mr. Cao Jihai, Mr. Liu Rongxun, Mr. Jin Humu, Ms. Liu Yuxia, and Ms. Lu Chunxia have been held in custody since November 17, 2015.

Mr. Wang Changshun has been held in custody since the summer of 2017.

5. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hongmei Detained

Ms. Li Hongmei was arrested at work by officers from the Xiangyang Police Station in the Erdaojiang District on November 28, 2017. She was taken to the Dongyuan Police Station in Erdaojiang.

When Ms. Li's family went to the police station to request her release, the police told them that she would be detained for five days for filing a criminal complaint against the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Li was taken to the Changliu Detention Center.

6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Zhiling Arrested

Ms. Liu Zhiling was arrested by officers from the Shimenzhai Police Station on November 29, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her electric vehicle was confiscated.

The officers then went to her home, climbed over the wall, entered her house, and ransacked it.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Xin Detained

Mr. Yang Xin was arrested at his home by deputy director Zhao Yongzhi and other officers from the Chengfa Township Police Station, Yushu City, on the morning of November 29, 2017. The officers confiscated his Falun Gong books.

Mr. Yang was detained for five days.

8. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Yongqing Arrested

Mr. Xu Yongqing was arrested at his home by officers from the Domestic Security Division on November 29, 2017.

9. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Shengjing Detained

Mr. Liu Shengjing from the Qianjinli Community, Dagang Street, Binhai New Area, was arrested by officers from the Shengli Police Station on the evening of November 25, 2017. He was taken to the Dagang Detention Center for ten days of detention.

10. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Yaode Arrested

Mr. Liu Yaode from Sansuolou Village, Baitan Town, Fugou County, was arrested at the door of his home by four police officers on October 21, 2017. The officers confiscated a large number of Falun Gong books.

Mr. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yan Jiahuai and His Wife Ms. Liu Wenying Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yan Jiahuai was sentenced to a two-year prison term. His wife Ms. Liu Wenying was sentenced to 16 months in prison.

12. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wen Ying Taken to Prison

Ms. Wen Ying was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on November 21, 2017.

13. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Hua Ling Taken to Prison

Ms. Hua Ling was taken to prison on November 15, 2017.
