(Minghui.org) Auntie Dong was in poor health and had to take many kinds of medicine every day prior to practicing Falun Dafa. She had to lie down for most of the day and could not do much. She was covered by her husband's health plan, and she submitted over 1,000 yuan in medical bills every month, which upset her husband's boss.

She ran into a former coworker while shopping in 2003. The coworker recommended Falun Dafa to her, and told her about its principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Auntie Dong immediately decided to practice Falun Dafa. She obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun and learned the five exercises.

After a short while, she no longer needed her medications and felt very energetic. Her body felt light, as if she was riding the wind when she walked. She has not taken a single pill since then. She could do hard physical work, such as seeding or carrying water. She seemed more vigorous than young men.

After Auntie Dong experienced how wonderful Falun Dafa is, she often told people about her experiences and clarified the facts about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was persecuting Falun Dafa. Because of her efforts, many people have learned about how the CCP has been slandering and framing Falun Dafa to justify its persecution of the practice.

Compassion for Her Tenants

Auntie Dong lives in a suburban area and has been renting out rooms in her home. Her tenants are mostly migrant workers. They typically live there for a few months. Although Auntie Dong lives on a limited pension, she understands their situations and keeps the rent very low. She always treats them with kindness.

One of her tenants threw a cigarette butt into a waste pile outside a restaurant, which immediately caught fire and badly burned him. He was taken to a hospital. When his sister came to get his belongings the next day, Auntie Dong gave the sister 100 yuan and said, "Please buy him something that he likes to eat. It's not a lot of money, but he has my good wishes."

After the tenant was discharged from the hospital, Auntie Dong helped take care of him until he completely recovered.

Putting Others’ Needs First

A tenant received a phone call in 2011 from his younger brother in Tianjin, who needed to borrow money. The tenant went out and came back empty-handed, looking very anxious.

Auntie Dong learned that his brother did electrical work in Tianjin, but wouldn't get paid until the project was completed, in several months. The brother's wife was eight-months pregnant, and the brother wanted to bring her to the area where Auntie Dong resides because family members lived there. But the couple had no money and they were stuck at the Tianjin Train Station.

Auntie Dong thought: “I'm a Dafa practitioner and a mother; I understand how dangerous it is for a woman who is eight-months pregnant to be stuck in a train station.” She gave the tenant 600 yuan to send to the brother, but it wasn't enough to buy the train tickets; so she gave him an additional 200 yuan. The couple finally made it there, and they rented a room from Auntie Dong.

One day at 7:00 a.m., the brother told Auntie Dong that his wife was in labor. Auntie Dong immediately called a taxi to take them to the hospital. The brother hesitated and said that he did not have any money to pay the hospital because his boss in Tianjin still had not paid him. Auntie Dong borrowed 1,000 yuan for him, but the wife's water broke, and she could not move.

Auntie Dong called a few people for help. However, as soon as they learned that it was a migrant worker's family, they didn't want to assist, fearing that it was a risky situation.

Having no choice, Auntie Dong decided to serve as a midwife. She boiled hot water and brought out every linen she could find because the young couple had no birthing experience and was not prepared.

She told the couple to sincerely chant, "Falun Dafa is Good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good!" The couple chanted it continuously, and finally, a baby girl was born. Both the mother and daughter were fine.

Auntie Dong went out to run some errands eight days after the birth. When she came back, a tenant told her that the family had moved out while she was gone. With a worried heart, Auntie Dong asked, "She's still recovering from childbirth. With the wind blowing so hard, will the mother and baby be okay?"

The tenant said, "Why are you worried about them?! They left because they didn't want to pay you the rent!"

For a few days, Auntie Dong felt very hurt. She then realized, "I'm a practitioner and nothing is coincidental. I might have owed them in my past life. So it's OK as long as the family is safe and sound."

Auntie Dong's house has continuously been filled with tenants, and every one of them listens to her talk about Falun Dafa.
