(Minghui.org) Ms. Cai Guijiao, a Falun Gong practitioner from Yueyang City, was secretly sentenced to a seven-month prison term in late November 2016. She is being held at the Yunxi Detention Center and has been denied family visits.

Her daughter went to the detention center on December 21, 2016, and was not allowed to see her.

Ms. Cai, 66, was arbitrarily arrested on November 18, 2015, when she and another practitioner were on their way to the bus station. Officers from the Huarong County Domestic Division drove by and recognized them. They searched the two practitioners, found Falun Gong informational materials in their possession, and arrested them. Only eight months ago Ms. Cai was released from the Changsha Women's Prison after serving a three-year term.

After being held at the Yunxi Detention Center for 41 days, Ms. Cai was released on bail pending trial. The chief of the Huarong County Domestic Division threatened her not to sue them or contact anyone.

The police arrested Ms. Cai again on November 14, 2016, when she was working in a field.

Arrested and Incarcerated Multiple Times

Ms. Cai has been arrested, detained, and had her home ransacked many times since the communist regime started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999.

She was detained for one month in 2000 for going to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong.

Ms. Cai was taken to the Yueyang City Brainwashing Center on October 13, 2005, and held for 60 days. Because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, she was later given one year of forced labor without a trial and was taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Cai was previously arrested on December 22, 2007, and released after being extorted of 3,200 yuan.

Ms. Cai's daughter, Ms. Chen Min, was given three years of forced labor in 2010. When Ms. Cai went to the Junshan District Domestic Security Division to ask for her daughter's release, she was severely beaten.

On February 27, 2012, Ms. Cai was arrested for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs and held at the Yueyang No. 1 Detention Center for more than nine months. She was later sentenced to a three-year prison term and incarcerated in the Changsha Women's Prison. She was released on February 27, 2015.
