(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Binglan Arrested

Ms. Gao Binglan, in her 80s, from Wukongsi Village, Laishui County, was reported while distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the Fangshan District in Beijing on the morning of August 5, 2016. She was arrested by officers from the Zhangfang Police Station.

2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Hu Shengchen and Ms. Xiao Yaqin Detained

Mr. Hu Shengchen from Dapo Town was arrested at home by officers from the Yushu City Domestic Security Division on August 3, 2016. He was given 10 days of detention.

Ms. Xiao Yaqin was arrested on August 4, 2016. She was detained for 5 days.

3. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Chunwan Arrested

Ms. Li Chunwan was arrested on August 4, 2016.

4. [Taierzhuang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Maitun and Ms. Wang Fengjun Detained

Mr. Li Maitun, in his 70s, and Ms. Wang Fengjun, 50, both from Yuzhou City in Henan Province, were arrested by security officers when they posted Falun Gong informational materials in the ancient city of Taierzhuang, a tourist site in Shandong Province, on August 2, 2016. They were taken to the Yunhe Police Station. Mr. Li is being held in the Taierzhuang Detention Center. Ms. Wang is being held in the Zaozhuang City Detention Center.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Haifang Detained

Ms. Ma Haifang from the Shijingshan District was arrested by officers from the Pingguo Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong on August 2, 2016. She is being detained.

6. [Xingwen County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Dafen Detained

Ms. Zhou Dafen, 60, from Gusong Town was arrested by Huang Chuanwu, head of the Domestic Security Division, and Xiang Yonghong, Party secretary of the Ximen Residential Community, on July 26, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational DVDs, a computer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Zhou is being held in the Yuejiang Detention Center in Yibin City.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Ren Xianglian Detained

Ms. Ren Xianglian from the Yubei District was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on July 13, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Yiwanshui Detention Center.

8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yuxia, Mr. Zhao Guangyu, and Ms. Han Yufeng from Yongling Town, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, were arrested when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials in the Yuhuatai District in Nanjing on the afternoon of August 2, 2016. They were taken to the Tiexinqiao Police Station.

9. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Taken Into Custody

Ms. Zhang Xiaofen, Ms. Zhao Qiuyun, Ms. Sun Xiping, and Ms. Bai Xiaohong were arrested at home on the morning of August 5, 2016. Three of them were taken to the Laiyuan County Police Department.

10. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Zhichao Detained

Mr. Sun Zhichao was arrested by Qinhuangdao police when he talked to people about Falun Gong on the train back to Xian County on July 3, 2016. He was taken to Xian County and is being held in the Renqiu Detention Center.

Mr. Song Xingwei was arrested by officers from the Cangzhou City Development Zone Police Department on July 15, 2016, for painting the words “Falun Dafa is good” in Shanghai. He was held in the city detention center. He was taken to Shanghai by Baoshan District Domestic Security Division in Shanghai on July 18, 2016. He is being held in the Baoshan District Detention Center.
