(Minghui.org) I rode my electric bike to a faraway village last October to talk to the villagers about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Many people accepted my informational materials and renounced their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
A young man came over to me. I greeted him and asked, “Do you have a DVD player at home? How about I give you a DVD for you to watch? The DVD is amazing!”
He pretended not to hear me, but grabbed the key from my electric bike. He said, “You practice Falun Dafa, and you are handing out Falun Dafa materials. I'm going to call the police and get a few cops here to arrest you.”
His threat was so sudden. I calmed down and talked to him about the goodness of Falun Dafa and how the CCP has defamed and persecuted it. I wanted to help him so that he would not do anything to bring harm himself as well as others. I told him that calling the police would be a sin for which he would have to suffer tremendously.
“The former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Dafa,” I said. “He has been sued by more than 200,000 practitioners and their family members around the world. The days until he is brought to justice are numbered! Please do not follow Jiang Zemin or do anything that will cause you trouble. Please return the bike key to me right now.”
He tried to ignore me and kept trying to call the police.
A lot of villagers came over. One said to him: “Give the key back to the senior lady. Let her go!” Many others made similar exclamations.
Among them was an elderly man who first talked to him in a mild tone. After the elderly man realized that he would not listen, the elderly man became agitated. He began to scold the young man in a harsh voice. He firmly demanded that he give the key back to me. Many villagers supported him. No one was on the young man's side.
However, eventually he made the phone call to the police.
A police car came, and three officers got out. One of them walked over to me and asked my name and where I came frome. I did not answer his question; I instead told him the facts about Falun Dafa as well as the principle that good is rewarded, while evil is punished.
He listened to me quietly and then asked me what I had in my purse. I opened it and let him see. I said, “These are some informational materials to help people learn the truth. What's in them is all about Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith. These are also to help people elevate their morality. I brought these for everyone. You can help yourself, but please make sure you read what you take.”
While holding the materials in his hands, the police officer walked towards the villagers and said, “All these materials were made through practitioners' savings, by their scrimping and saving.”
This really surprised me – he was actually helping me clarify the truth! Since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Dafa, the Communist regime has been fabricating lies that practitioners are financially supported by overseas anti-China forces. However, police officers have been interacting with practitioners almost every day. They truly know the facts about Falun Dafa.
Another police officer walked over to me. He handed me my key and said, “This is your key. I'll see you. Bye!” Concerned for my safety, several villagers also asked me to please return home safely.
“Thank you,” I said. “Please remember, Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” Then I got on my bike and headed home.
