(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 44 were illegally arrested.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xianzhen Incarcerated in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Xianzhen, 45, of Jingzhi Town, Anqiu City was arrested on the morning of April 18, 2016 when she was telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong in Shiji Town. She is incarcerated at the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center in Anqiu City.

2. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Chunqin Detained for Five Days

Ms. Liu Chunqin was arrested at night on April 24, 2016, and taken to the Hetang District Police Department. She is incarcerated in the Zhuzhou City Women's Forced Labor Camp and subjected to five days detention.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Zhizhen Detained for Five Days

Ms. Yu Zhizhen from Qinghe Town, Jian City was called to the police station by a local officer on April 14, 2016 for suing Jian Zemin. She was forced to sign and press her finger print on a police document in the police station, and detained for five days.

4. [Wuhan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Fang Xijie, Mr. Zhang Fangxiang, and Mr. Liu Guangcai of Yangluo Street, Xinzhou District were arrested on April 21, 2016. Ms. Peng Yuping of Yangluo Street was arrested on April 23, 2016.

Ms. Fang and Ms. Peng are incarcerated in the Yusunshan Brainwashing Center in the Caidian District. Mr. Zhang and Mr. Liu were detained at an unknown place by the Xinzhou District Police Department.

Mr. Wang Xuecheng and his wife Ms. Shi Chunying from Juling Township, Linying County were arrested on March 27, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Juling Township Police Station. Mr. Wang is incarcerated at the Linying Detention Center. Ms. Shi is incarcerated at the Luohe City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Haizhen and Ms. Wang Xiulan were arrested on the morning of April 23, 2016 when they were telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Dacanggai Town, Xuanhua County. They were taken to the Dacanggai Town Police Station. They are incarcerated at the Shisanli Detention center and subjected to 15 days detention.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Li Shumin Arrested

Ms. Li shumin of Haidian District was arrested at home on the morning of April 22, 2016 by officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station. She was released.

9. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Decheng District Domestic Security Division arrested practitioners on April 22, 2016. Practitioners who are known to be incarcerated at a detention center: Ms. Chen Yulan, Mr. Sun Linxiang, Ms. Lu Duomei, Mr. Wang Jianping, Ms. Zhang Xiuqin, Ms. Wang Yuqin, Mr. Ma Yuqing, Mr. Li Zhiyong, Ms. Kong Xiangmei, Ms. Meng Fengyun, Ms. Kang Miqiao, Mr. Zhang Jincheng, and Ms. Zhang Weiyan.

11. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cheng Yuying and Ms. Li Aifang Detained

Ms. Cheng Yuying and Ms. Li Aifang of Baiguo Town, Macheng City were arrested on April 14, 2016 when they were talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are incarcerated at the Huanggang City Detention Center.

12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jin Shaoli Detained

Ms. Jin Shaoli of Babaishang was arrested at her daughter's home in Yinlangxincheng on the morning of April 22, 2016. She is incarcerated at the Daqing City Detention Center.

13. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Chengfeng area practitioners Ms. Xiao Ailing, her husband Mr. Ruan Xinghai, their daughter Ms. Ruan Xiaoyue, and an out of town practitioner Ms. Hao Yingwu were arrested on April 20, 2016. They are incarcerated at the Daqing No.2 Detention Center.

14. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Shuping and Ms. Lu Shengying Detained

Ms. Mu Shuping, 60, of Shizhong District, was arrested on April 19, 2016 and detained seven days for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Baimashan Police Station.

Ms. Lu Shengying of Huaiyin District, 50, was arrested on April 11, 2016 and detained five days for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Lashan Police Station.

15. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Arrested

Ms. Luo was arrested by police from Xichang Domestic Security Division

16. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Xuezheng, Ms. Guo Jinglian, and Ms. Li Xiuzi Detained

Mr. Li Xuezheng, Ms. Guo Jinglian, and Ms. Li Xiuzi were arrested on the afternoon of April 20, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. They are incarcerated at the Zhonggong Detention Center in Jinan City. Officers from the Caofan Police Station arrested them. They were led by the CCP secretary of Mengzhang Village, Caofan Town, Zhangqiu City.

17. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Zhaozhen Arrested

Ms. Liu Zhaozhen of Shangcang Township, Ji County was arrested by officers from the Tianjin Domestic Security Division, Ji County Domestic Security Division, and Shangcang Police Station. The officers seized her Falun Gong books and materials.

19. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Qitaihe City practitioners Ms. Zhang Lanjun, Ms. Yu Xiulan, Mr. Gao and Ms. Zhao were arrested on the afternoon of April 24, 2016 by officers from the Tieshan Township Police Station when they were distributing Falun Gong printouts in Qiezihe District. Ms. Zhao was released the next day, but the other three practitioners are incarcerated at a detention center.

20. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yin Li and Ms. Liu Yuqin Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Ms. Yin Li and Ms. Liu Yuqin of Tongyu County were arrested on October 21, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Ms.Yin was incarcerated at the Baicheng City Detention Center. Ms. Liu was released on bail because of her health condition.

Ms. Yin and Ms. Liu were sentenced to a year in prison and fined 2,000 yuan on April 11, 2016. Ms. Liu has appealed to the Baicheng Middle Court.

21. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Qiaoyun Arrested

Ms. Xu Qiaoyun, around 60, was arrested on April 19, 2016.

22. [Gaoan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Tuanyuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Tuanyuan of Shinao Town was arrested on the afternoon of April 23, 2016 by officers from the Shinao Police Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Peihe Incarcerated at Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Peihe of Longwanya Village, Linghe Town was taken to the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center on April 17, 2016 by officers from the Linghe Town Police Station.

24. [Yongzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Dongxiu and Ms. Xie Mingfang Arrested

Ms. Chen Dongxiu and Ms. Xie Mingfang of Ningyuan County were arrested on April 15, 2016 by Ningyuan County police and 610 Office agents when they were telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong.

25. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Juan Detained

Ms. Liu Juan of Dalian Development Zone was arrested at work on the afternoon of April 22, 2016 by officers from the Development Zone Police Department. Police ransacked her home. She is incarcerated at the Yaojia Detention Center.
