Falun Dafa Practitioners from Various Professions Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and Respectfully Wish Master Li Hongzhi a Happy Birthday

(Minghui.org) World Falun Dafa Day is May 13 and thousands of greetings have been received from people all around the world to honor this festive occasion.

Every year in May, practitioners celebrate World Falun Dafa Day by hosting events in their communities and sending greetings to the founder of the practice, Master Li Hongzhi, via the Minghui website. Today marks the 24th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public and the 17th annual World Falun Dafa Day celebrations, as well as Master Li's birthday.

Over the past 24 years, Falun Dafa has had a worldwide impact, reaching over 100 countries. An estimated 100 million people or more follow the practice and cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives. However, in 1999 the Communist regime in China banned the peaceful meditation practice and has been persecuting and torturing its practitioners in labor camps and detention centers ever since.

Although practitioners in China cannot freely hold World Falun Dafa Day events in their communities as can those outside China due to the ongoing persecution, thousands have been able to break through China's internet blockade to send their greetings of respect and reverence to Master Li at Minghui.org.

As an example, this article is a collection of greetings sent by practitioners from 12 provinces in China, including Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Shanxi, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, Liaoning, Hebei and Gansu.

And they all come from various professions, including the systems of oil field, state enterprise, second light industry enterprise, coal mine, supply and marketing cooperatives, automobile factory, forestry, hospital, power, health and epidemic prevention system, financial system, tobacco company, foreign trade, construction company, gold system, railway, port system, textile system, and ferroalloy plant.

In their greetings, these Falun Dafa practitioners all express their gratitude for Master and vowed to be more diligent in cultivation and fulfill their responsibilities.

In particular, a retired worker from Dalian, Liaoning Province said that he was diagnosed with final stage of stomach cancer in 1994. However the cancer disappeared within two months after he entered Falun Dafa cultivation. He was so grateful. His friends and relatives were amazed at the miraculous effect of Dafa and some therefore walked on the path of cultivation.
