(Minghui.org) A woman from Shandong Province was sent back to her hometown for detention after being seized in Heilongjiang Province, where she was visiting a relative.
Ms. Ma Yuzhi from Liaocheng, Shandong Province had been on the police's wanted list since August 22, 2015, when she was arrested for distributing information exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. The police launched a nationwide manhunt for her after she managed to escape later that day.
She took a taxi back to Liaocheng and was caught by surveillance cameras there. Knowing that she was still around, the police went to her two daughters' homes every day to look for her. They also kept close watch of her other relatives in town.
Ms. Ma's photo was plastered everywhere in the neighborhood, and her workplace was ordered to turn her in should she show up for work.
Upon learning of the situation, Ms. Ma traveled to Heilongjiang Province to stay with a relative. She was picked up by the police after using her ID to make a money transfer on March 9 this year. Shandong Police took her back to Liaocheng six days later.
Ms. Ma is being held at the Liaocheng Detention Center.
