(Minghui.org) There is a saying that “The capable deserve.” It means that positions of responsibility should be filled by those who are capable and not by those who cannot fulfill the requirements. Thus, some practitioners think that a coordinator of an area who seems inappropriate or incapable should bow out and let other, more 'capable' ones take charge.

This is a human principle, not a Fa principle.

Master said,

“In Canonization of the Gods, Shen Gongbao thinks that Jiang Ziya is old and inept. Yet Honorable Divine of the Origin asks Jiang Ziya to grant titles to the Gods.”

“In the extreme microcosm of what makes up a human being, or any being, his nature and the unique elements of his being have been formed.” (Zhuan Falun)

This suggests that it is predestined who the 'person-in-charge' will be and not just whoever appears to be more capable. The predestined 'person-in-charge' comes to this world with his or her own vows and mission.

One may look “old and inept” on the surface, but Master knows everything about this person down to the extreme microcosm. If practitioners observe and judge their coordinator by his or her surface appearance, they may wonder why the practitioner was appointed to the position. But the nature of the coordinator at the microcosm may be different from what we observe. We will never understand this concept using human notions.

In the novel Journey to the West, Xuanzang, Monkey King, Pigsy, and Sandy went on a mission to find the Buddha's scriptures and take them to China. The latter three had special powers, so it may seem that Xuanzang was the least capable, but Xuanzang was the leader of the mission.

Monkey King was very capable, but impatient and hot tempered and easily drawn into a fight. Xuanzang, on the other hand, had great inborn quality and had the determination to cultivate and carry out the mission of going to the West to get Buddha's scriptures. Thus, without Xuanzang's determination, the mission would not have been successful.

The Monkey King is the hero in the novel. He was very capable, but not the leader. If the Monkey King had been attached to his abilities and looked down on Xuanzang, or even thought to replace him, the whole mission would have been a disaster. No divine beings would have helped the Monkey King if he had interfered with the Buddha's arrangement of making Xuanzang the leader.

It is fine for a coordinator of an area to determine the direction of the Fa validation work and not to deviate from that path. But there is no need for him or her to think of everything or to be capable of doing everything.

If practitioners cannot work together on a project and are always quarreling with the coordinator over this or that, then Master and the divine beings will not be able to help the practitioners, and the old forces will take advantage of this opportunity.

However, if practitioners can accept the coordinators and work with them, then Master and divine beings will be able to help them all the way to the end.
