Ms. Fang Aixiang from Henan Province Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fang Aixiang was arrested on January 21, 2016, for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime. She is being illegally detained in the Puyang City Detention Center.
Ms. Fang, 64, from Qingfeng County, Henan Province, filed her criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin with the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate on September 21, 2015.
Since Jiang Zemin's regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Fang has been arrested and detained many times, and imprisoned for three years.
She is retired from the Qingfeng County Agriculture Machinery Factory in Puyang City. She began to practice Falun Gong in June 1998 and experienced great physical and mental improvements.
January 21, 2015: Arrested and Detained
Officer Wang Zijun from the Qingfeng County Police Department Domestic Security Division and deputy chief Gu Xianglin from the Chengguan Police Station went to Ms. Fang's home at 10 a.m. on January 21, 2015. They asked her to go with them to the police station, and she agreed.
She was arrested when they got to the station. The police ransacked her home after she left. She was transferred to the Puyang City Detention Center.
Brief Excerpts from Her Complaint
Ms. Fang wrote: “I was taken to the Nanle County Detention Center in October 2006. My son had 20,000 yuan extorted from him by the prison officials just so that he could bring me some food and daily supplies.
“The Qingfeng County Procuratorate told my son that my case had already been referred to the Puyang City Procuratorate and hinted that he should give the city procuratorate 5,000 yuan. I was sentenced to three years in prison on March 5, 2007.
“My son had to run back and forth to deal with my detention and sentencing. He missed out on work, and, with the authorities demanding a bribe, he had to spend a lot of money. This caused great tension between my son and my daughter-in-law, which resulted in divorce. My husband was under great pressure and became very fearful. His health deteriorated as a result.
“I was incarcerate in Xinxiang Prison and tortured physically and mentally. The guards made me do hard labor and watch videos that slandered Falun Gong. The police demanded that I write a 'thought report' to the authorities on a weekly basis. If I did not comply, they threatened that I would have to do more hard labor and that my prison term would be extended.
“By the time I was released in June 2009, I had contracted severe diabetes, heart disease, and bad vision. My body was swollen and I was weak.
“The Qingfeng County 610 Office, domestic security division, and local police continued to harass me after I was released. My peaceful life was shattered and I lost my freedom even after I was released.”
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners during the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
