Additional Persecution News from China – November 27, 2016 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested.

The trial date for Ms. Zhang Fengqin was set for December 7, 2016, and for Mr. Zhou Baihong on December 2, 2016.

2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Yan Arrested

Mr. Jiang Yan was arrested by Domestic Security officers on November 25, 2016.

3. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yang Shujun's family members were told by the Suihua City Detention Center on November 22, 2016 to come and see Ms. Yang. They met with Ms. Yang and Ms. Gao Jingyun on the following day. Ms. Yang and Ms. Gao looked to have aged several years. Ms. Yang's hair had turned gray. Ms. Gao lost consciousness three times. She was taken to the hospital.

Ms. Yang and Ms. Gao were taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison on November 24, 2016. Ms. Huang Lihua remains in the Anda City Detention Center.

4. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Qiuhua’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhu Qiuhua was arrested by three plainclothes officers from the Feixian Town Police Station on the morning of November 25, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials in a farmers market in Feixian Town, Guiyang County. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Zhaomei and Ms. Yang Shukun Arrested

Ms. Du Zhaomei and Ms. Yang Shukun were arrested by officers from the Tushan Police Station on November 25, 2016. They were taken to the Laizhou City Detention Center that evening.

Ms. Wang Duanfang and an elderly practitioner from Baiyun New Village were arrested at the Zhongtian Stadium on November 23, 2016. The elderly practitioner was released. Ms. Wang was taken to the Xilin Detention Center directly.

7. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Qiuyun Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Zhao Qiuyun was officially placed under arrest on November 10, 2016.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Chunhua Arrested

When he passed by, Mr. Wang Chunhua was asked to enter the Yihelu Police Station on the morning of November 25, 2016. The police searched his bag and found two Falun Gong books and eight yuan of paper currency with Falun Gong facts written on them. The officers took written notes while interrogating him. He was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center. He was released because the detention center refused to admit him for health reasons.

9. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gai Guimei and Ms. Li Chengmin Detained

Ms. Gai Guimei and Ms. Li Chengmin were arrested on November 21, 2016, and taken to the Dalian City Detention Center.

10. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Face Trial

Ten practitioners were arrested on April 24, May 7, and May 8, 2016. Five will be tried by the Taoshan District Court.

Mr. Zhao Chunyang will be tried on November 28, Ms. Zhang Guirong and Ms. Wang Jing on November 29, Mr. Gao Yunshan on November 30, and Ms. Wu Xushu on December 2.

11. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. He Yuliang's Home Ransacked

Mr. He Yuliang's home was ransacked on November 24, 2016.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Zhiping Detained

Ms. Gao Zhiping was arrested at home by officers from the Nanjie Police Station, Nanguan District, on the afternoon of November 25, 2016. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center.

13. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Xiuhua and Mr. Liu Weiwei Detained

Ms. Yu Xiuhua and Mr. Liu Weiwei from Muping District were arrested by officers from the Yuangezhuang Town Police Station on November 24, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Yuangezhuang Town, Laishan District. Both practitioners were taken to the Laishan District Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

14. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Ling Detained

Ms. Zhang Ling, 44, who works in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, returned to her hometown of Xinji City, Hebei Province, on January 2016 to take care of her elderly mother. She was monitored and tracked on August 1, 2016 in Hebei Province for sending Falun Gong informational materials over the Internet.

She was arrested and taken to the local Jianshejie Police Station on August 8 by officers from the Xinji City Police Department's Domestic Security Division. She was taken to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center that evening.

The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, two notebook computers, two cell phones, one hard drive, one flash drive, and one desktop computer.

Her family members were called to the No. 5 Oil Extraction Plant Police Station on August 18, 2016 to sign the arrest warrant. It was reported that she would be put on trial in Xinji City on December 8, 2016.

15. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners’ Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Jinfeng, Ms. Lou Yahong, and another female practitioner were followed by two plainclothes officers near the Gaoqiaoying Detention Center on the morning of November 25, 2016. Several police officers arrived and arrested them. The three practitioners’ whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Liming Detained

Ms. Li Liming from Sujiatun District was arrested by officers from the Wusong Police Station, Heping District, when buying a ticket at the Shenyang Train Station on the afternoon of November 24, 2016. She is being held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiaohong Arrested

Ms. Xiaohong was arrested on the morning of November 24, 2016.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Zhixia Taken Into Custody

Ms. Wang Zhixia was arrested at home by officers from the Bayilu Police Station, Xigang District, on the morning of November 23, 2016. The officers then returned to her home and arrested her 77-year-old father. They took him to the police station for questioning about the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. He was released that evening. Ms. Wang remains in custody.

19. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. He Yuxia Taken to Detention Center

Ms. He Yuxia was arrested and taken to the Xindi Detention Center on November 23, 2016.

20. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xiong Huiyi's Home Ransacked

Ji Huitian, head of the Zhihe Town 610 Office, and others broke into Mr. Xiong Huiyi's home and ransacked it on the morning of November 24, 2016. They confiscated the book Zhuan Falun, a Minghui Weekly publication, and a music player. They also took photos of license plates of an electic car and a motorcycle.

Mr. Xiong was taken to the police station and beaten during a body search. He was released that afternoon.

21. [Tianjin] Practitioner Zhong's Home Ransacked

Wang Xiaolu, a residential police officer, and another police officer from the Tiantajie Police Station in Hexi District, broke into the home of a practitioner surnamed Zhong on the morning of November 24, 2016. They ransacked the place without a search warrant and confiscated a few copies of Minghui Weekly.
