(Minghui.org) Recently, a practitioner couple borrowed a large sum of money from fellow practitioners for their failing business. Still, their investment was lost, and they could not repay the practitioners. This incident sent a shock wave through practitioners in Shijiazhuang.
Fundraising Among Practitioners Is Not Allowed
Master has stated many times that practitioners cannot raise money from fellow practitioners. Doing this is a clear violation of Master’s teaching, and it causes damage to Dafa.
Master told us,
“Every step I, Li Hongzhi, take is to establish an unchangeable and unalterable way for the transmission of Dafa in future generations. Such an enormous Fa will not be over after a moment of popularity. There cannot be any slight deviation in the countless years to come.” (“Stability of the Fa” from Essentials for Further Advancement)
Many practitioners criticized the couple for their serious offense of deceiving practitioners for money. I believe their criticism is justified.
However, we ought to look beyond their behavior. Do we treat this with human thinking or with righteous thoughts? This is the question we should consider.
Practitioners trusted the couple and loaned them tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of yuan. After their money was gone, these practitioners realized that the couple’s business had been in trouble for years. They were angry that the couple had lied to them.
I believe, too, that those practitioners who lent money to the couple were also wrong. To allow fundraising among practitioners leaves a huge loophole of which the evil can take advantage. I believe this should have been a key lesson learned.
Improving the Whole Body
Not everyone who chose to lend the couple money has looked within and realized his or her own problem. Many regret that the couple told lies to get their money, and they focus on the couple’s wrongdoing. That is a big problem. In fact, even if the couple did not lie, borrowing money from practitioners would still be damaging the Fa, and the evil could still do a lot of damage.
It seems that the old forces chose the couple because they did not have a good understanding of the Fa, and their main consciousness were weak. However, if our region had no omissions in this type of problem, the old forces could not have created this mess.
I believe the old forces wanted to destroy the couple’s cultivation and their future, and they wanted to test everyone else. The old forces’ ultimate plan was to cause severe damage to Dafa resources in the Shijiazhuang region.
Most of our practitioners expressed indignation to the couple, but few of us have discussed our own omissions. We have not realized that the issue is not an isolated incident. Yet, it is important that we know the old forces’ intention and rectify our own understanding. If we only focus on the couple and wish for them to change, we are missing the target. The couple’s situation is affected by our region’s cultivation status.
Master told us,
“If you give someone money, it amounts to supporting him in his actions, and you stand to be at fault as well. Therefore, the old forces won’t regard you as having been duped. Instead, they will see you as being in cahoots with the other party and supporting him. So you absolutely must be careful with these things.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
We should stop blaming and expressing our resentment. The couple still has hope to change their cultivation. Based on my knowledge, the couple was very sorry and wanted to make up for their mistake. I am positive that after we improve our cultivation as a whole body, the old forces’ plan will fail.
Master stated in “Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference,”
“I'll say this again: I don't want to leave a single person behind. That's why Master's thinking is usually different from yours. Sometimes you think that certain people are iffy, certain people are unsavable, certain people are this or that... but my thinking is different from yours.”
And:
“You folks can't just go and abandon a person without trying hard enough. No matter what kind of mistakes someone has made, or what kind of a person he is, I still want to give him a chance. Of course, in human society there are, after all, a number of people who aren't good enough anymore, so just let them be. Today I'm mainly saying that our Dafa disciples need to do better, and we should cherish those who have obtained the Fa.”
As Dafa disciples, we must not abandon any practitioner, and we must not leave any room for the old forces to take advantage of us.
