(Minghui.org) On a bus ride from Tianjin to the Beijing Airport to pick up my daughter on September 2, 2015, the bus attendant checked all the passengers' passports and identification (ID) cards using a scanner.
The driver got a phone call, and we made a stop in the Wuqing District. He asked if anyone with the name of Wu Wanming was on board, and if so, the reason for the trip to Beijing Airport. I said that I had to pick up my daughter. Just before we entered the city limits of Beijing, our passports and IDs were checked again.
A police vehicle stopped the bus about 30 minutes from the airport. The police asked for my ID and wanted me to get off the bus. I explained that my daughter's flight would arrive soon and asked to remain on the bus to answer his questions. The officers refused my request.
Most of the people on the bus were catching a flight. Some got impatient and asked me to get off the bus. I explained that the authorities had found out I was a Falun Gong practitioner after my ID was checked.
Some of the passengers said that I should give up Falun Gong. I told them that practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, so why should I give it up? But, as a practitioner I had to think of others first. Since I did not want them to miss their flights, I got off the bus.
The three officers were from the Tianjin Police Department. They said that they pulled me off the bus because there was going to be a military parade in Beijing the following day, and they were told to stop all practitioners from entering Beijing.
I told them that what they were doing was illegal. I asked them to not persecute practitioners. I then explained that many of those who persecuted practitioners, including former security chief Zhou Yongkang, have met with retribution. Some of them have died, while others were imprisoned. Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese communist regime, would eventually be brought to trial.
I reminded them to think of their futures and their family's wellbeing. They then reassured me that I could pick up my daughter without much delay.
An hour later, a vehicle with officials from my district arrived. Deputy police chief Wang, officer Wu, Lu from the Comprehensive Management Office, and another female official were in the vehicle. They took me to the airport so that I could pick up my daughter.
