(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. He Shuqiong from the Longquanyi District in Chengdu, Sichuan Province was arrested by local officials and police on June 25, 2015 after visiting another practitioner. She was detained at the Longquanyi Police Station and released 10 days later.

Three Arrested

Ms. He visited Ms. Lu Chunhua's home on June 25, 2015. She was stopped by a local community official, who was monitoring Ms. Lu's home. The official called dozens of local officials, including the local community office, domestic security division, Longquan Police Department, and Yihe New Town Police Station.

The officials searched Ms. He and demanded that she ask Ms. Lu to open the door. They asked if there were other practitioners at Ms. Lu's home. Ms. He refused to cooperate.

The police and some men hired by the local community office started to verbally abuse Ms. He and threatened to break her legs. Police convinced Ms. Lu's son to open the door and took Ms. He to the Yihe New Town Police Station.

Officers ransacked Ms. Lu's home and arrested Ms. Lu and Ms. Chen Sirong, another practitioner who was visiting Ms. Lu, and took them to the Yihe New Town Police Station. Police also ransacked Ms. Chen's home. Ms. Lu and Ms. Chen were not released until late at night.

At the police station, the police took photos of Ms. He and found her identification online. Three plainclothes officers took Ms. He home at around 6 p.m., called a locksmith to unlock the door, and ransacked her home. Officers confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, calendars, and the draft of her criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Communist regime. They also scratched off the words “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” on her door with a knife.

Later that night, Ms. He was taken to the Longquan Police Station and interrogated.

Physical Exam

The police took Ms. He to the Hangtian Hospital for a complete physical exam, including a blood test, urine test, electrocardiogram, ultrasonic test, and even a CT scan. The exam lasted until about 3 a.m. She was then taken to the Longquan Police Station. During the exam, Ms. He was not allowed to drink any water or eat anything.

Detention

Ms. He was illegally detained in the Longquan Police Station for 10 days. The police also threatened to fine her. A female officer harassed Ms. He and threatened to order other detainees to force-feed her if she went on a hunger strike.

Ms. He was released on July 6, escorted out of the detention center by a police officer, a local community office director, a community control official, and two other people.
