(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 2002. In order to help those who have been deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies about Falun Dafa, I would like to share my personal experiences so they can know the goodness of Falun Dafa.
Uniformly Behaving According to Dafa
After I began to practice, I came to understand that as a practitioner, one needs to be a good person at all times. We should put others first in every situation and look inward amidst conflicts.
I found a job in a state-run company in 2003. As the company was newly established, my work involved many things. I arrived early to the office every day before 7:00 a.m. I cleaned up the office and then started my day. In winter, all sorts of materials which piled up in the courtyard needed to be sorted out and reorganized.
All the employees had to join this effort. The work was dirty and tiring. Many people slacked off after a few days. Amidst the cold wind, I was the only one doing these kinds of things, including cleaning, transporting garbage, etc. I didn't stop until everything was sorted out. My manager was touched by my doing so and said to all the employees: “[My name] treats our company like his own home, and he behaves the same wherever he is.”
I left this company in 2005 and went to work for another corporation. To start, there was a three-month training session. I finished the training in only a month because of my hard work. It was a record in the company. Headquarters dispatched a person to validate my training. Afterwards, the deputy director of the board often mentioned to new employees the fact that I passed the training in a month.
My company sent me to South China in the spring of 2006 to meet with potential equipment providers. One company attempted to bribe me with 20,000 yuan in order to get the contract. I politely declined. Another company offered me a free service. I declined that right away also.
As a practitioner, I need to be strict with myself. I treat everything seriously and carefully in my day-to-day life. I have been responsible for everything I do. Many times, I paid work related expenses out of my own pocket without letting anyone know.
Dafa Practitioners Demonstrate the Truth
I was arrested while talking to people about Falun Dafa in 2009 and taken to a detention center. I tried my best to help others detained there. For example, I helped the elderly wash their clothes, guided teenagers on how to lead their lives, and encouraged troubled young people get back on the right track.
I was soon transferred to another cell. A felon had been watching me. He later said to me: “You are different from practitioners that we have seen on TV.” I took the chance and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to him. I told him about its goodness and why one should withdraw from the Communist Party to not be associated with it when it falls.
Eventually he understood the truth. He said to me that he thought Dafa was truly wonderful. We became good friends and he wanted his wife to learn Dafa. Because of this he received good fortune: His verdict turned out to be a life sentence rather than being executed, which was quite unbelievable to him.
I was later sentenced and transferred to a prison. I declared to the warden: “I am not guilty of any crime, and I will not participate in any activity related to being transformed.” The warden said to me: “As long as you get along with other prisoners, you will be fine.” I told him: “We practitioners try to be good people everywhere.”
A man guilty of robbery shared a bunk bed with me. He had very poor health. Because of his illness, he couldn't stand up, nor could he take care of himself. The prisoner who was appointed to look after him didn't care about him at all. I had been taking care of him. I carried him to go to the washroom, brought him his meals, and chatted with him. He was very touched.
A man imprisoned for larceny was in his late 70s. No one wanted to take care of him. I gave him my clean clothes, which was observed by all the inmates in the cell. They all said: “We truly didn't know how wonderful Falun Dafa is.”
Many prisoners treated the practitioners differently and in a nice way. We didn't swear, nor did we fight with others. We didn't do anything harmful to others. And we put others first in doing things.
Other prisoners trusted me and they shared their secrets with me. I was also willing to help them. In a place like a prison, and among prisoners, their relationships are solely based on self-interest rather than anything else. Whereas I never thought about that, but rather treated everyone kindly, which is required by the Fa.
When they worked overtime, I'd always help them with preparing hot water and instant noodles. One time, when a prisoner picked up his mug after he returned to the cell, he saw it was filled with hot water. He was so touched that he looked in my eyes and said to me: “You will surely do well, because you are such a kind person!”
Some of the prisoners who had close connections with me said that if they had run into me earlier, they would have not committed any crime. This is the power of Dafa. Under the power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, everything will change. Prisoners all realized that the practitioners they came across were different from what was presented by the CCP on TV.
No matter how evil the CCP's lies are, we practitioners will display the truth. I will treasure my future cultivation path and use my words and actions to demonstrate the beauty, sacredness, and wonderfulness of Falun Dafa.
