(Minghui.org) Many people in today's China focus primarily on fighting for personal gain, and no longer consider morality.

Falun Gong practitioners, on the other hand, strive to be good people and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, despite being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.

Those who encounter practitioners are recognizing these people's selflessness and consideration for others. Incidents like the two recounted below are partly responsible for this new awareness about Falun Gong.

Displaying the Goodness of Practitioners

Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the hillside behind a village in Qinglong County, Hebei Province on March 4, 2014. An orchard was the burning because the orchard owner's brother-in-law, who is a Falun Gong practitioner, had burned dry materials near the orchard. More than 100 fruit trees were destroyed.

Instead of bickering with the orchard owner about the cost of the loss, the practitioner turned over his own orchard, one of higher value, to his brother-in-law. The villagers said, “Indeed, Falun Dafa is good! The practitioner follows higher principles.”

A similar incident, also involving practitioners, occurred at the same village in late December last year. While working in the field, Qi had started a fire to keep warm, which resulted in burning a nearby orchard owned by Mr. Gao Chun, who is a Falun Gong practitioner. The cost of the damage from the fire was more than 10,000 yuan.

Qi's family offered to compensate Mr. Gao in cash or turn over their orchard. Mr. Gao comforted the Qi family and politely declined the offer.

“Our family will remember your kindness,” said Qi's son.

“No need to thank me. It was the founder of Falun Gong, called Master by us practitioners, who has taught us a high moral code,” responded Mr. Gao.

“Falun Gong practitioners are good people. We will support Falun Gong. Falun Gong is good!”

Honesty Shows the Goodness of Practitioners

When a practitioner was on her way home, she heard some music. She got off her bike and found a smart phone in the grass.

Her immediate thought was that the phone's owner must be worried, so she tried to open the phone and locate the owner. But, she could not figure out how the phone worked, so she took it home.

“This phone is worth more than 1,000 yuan,” a family member said. “Since you don't have one, why don't you just keep it?”

“We practitioners cannot take things from other people,” she responded. “Please open it and try to contact the owner.” From the records in the phone, her family located an acquaintance of the owner.

The owner, a young man, arrived on a motorcycle. He wanted to reward her with a few hundred yuan, but she refused to accept it and said, “I am a Falun Gong practitioner. My Master has taught us to be good and always consider others' needs and wants before our own.”

“Falun Gong practitioners are selfless,” said the young man. “They are good people!”
