(Minghui.org) Master taught us about the importance of saving people:

“This is why each Dafa disciple needs to realize the importance of clarifying the truth. This, more than anything, is what you should do with all your effort, and it's the most magnificent.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference”)

I put a lot of effort into saving people, including those who work in law enforcement. However, in the past my mind was focused on persuading those people to stop persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, rather than clarifying the facts to them so they could be saved.

Master also stated in “Teaching the Fa at the 2005 Manhattan International Fa Conference:”

“... think about why so many high-level beings dared to take such a perilous risk and come to the Three Realms. They are gods, so how could we not save them?”

I realized that we need to save the people in the legal system who are involved in persecuting practitioners. So I first tried to talk with them in person, but found that I didn't really have an opportunity to meet with them.

I therefore started to write letters to these people, exposing the persecution. I downloaded articles from Minghui Weekly, and printed and mailed them to personnel in the government and legal organizations. I also sometimes sent hand-written letters.

Letters Helped to Save Practitioners

I once sent such a letter to the chief judge presiding over the trial of a practitioner. During the trial, the judge announced an adjournment on the grounds of insufficient evidence. I did the same thing for another case, and the judge rejected the prosecution, also stating lack of evidence.

Another time, a school teacher, who is a practitioner, encouraged her students to withdraw from the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League. A parent of one of the students reported her to the school authorities, and the school reported it to the local 610 Office.

Upon hearing this news, another practitioner and I visited the school principal, to tell her about Falun Dafa in person. We managed to see her, but she didn't allow us to talk at all. So I wrote a letter and took it to her office the next morning. On the very same day, when 610 Office agents went to the school with police to arrest the teacher, the principal managed to send them away without taking the teacher.

Wonderful Surprise

Several practitioners and I heard, late last year, that an arrested practitioner was to be released soon. Local practitioners were worried that the authorities at the detention center might play tricks to delay the release. I knew the director of the detention center because I was held there in 2000, so I decided to pay him a visit. I talked to him about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

The next day, two other practitioners—brothers of the detained practitioner—and I went to the detention center to pick up this practitioner. The staff told us that they needed a notice from the police station to release the practitioner.

To our surprise, the director accompanied the detained practitioner to the gate, and told us not to worry about any notice from the police station.

Strength of Mind, Strength of Action

I often use the same post office to mail out the letters. Upon learning about Falun Dafa, the director and staff members there withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and also helped me with the mailings.

After I had mailed out several thousand letters, the local 610 Office learned about my activities, and six government officials and police officers paid me a visit at home. They demanded that I write a guarantee statement to renounce my belief, or they would take me to a brainwashing center.

I told them that I wanted to talk to their boss, the Party secretary of Politics and Legal Affairs Committee of the district. When I phoned the Party secretary I was informed that he was out of town, but that I could meet with him in two days. The officials and police officers then left my home.

When I went to visit the Party secretary two days later, he assigned four high ranking officials to meet with me because he was in a conference. They also insisted that I write a guarantee statement, which I again refused. They told me not to mail out any more letters about Falun Dafa.

“I need to talk to you about this another time,” I said. The head of the 610 Office agreed.

I have since made a point to go to their offices more often to talk to them about Falun Dafa. Although I have reduced the number of letters I send out to people in this particular district, I still mail out many letters to other districts.

Master said:

“Aren't even those who carry out the persecution, with the exception of the head of the evil, themselves targeted by the persecution?” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”)

Thus, these people, who work in the legal system, are the intended recipients of my letters. And now, a few other practitioners have joined me in doing this work!
