Additional Persecution News from China – May 23, 2015 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 were illegally arrested.

5. [Ziyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Sun Bizhen Arrested
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
7. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Yuzhen Arrested
8. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] 14 Practitioners Arrested9. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ying Detained
10. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Jiangmei and Ms. Wen Chunxia Detained

1. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Fenglong Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term

Mr. Wang Fenglong was arrested in April 2014 by officers from the Beijing Fangshan Police Station and detained in the Fangshan Detention Center. He was sentenced to a four-year prison term this April. He has appealed to a higher court.

2. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Shi Bingjun Sentenced to Five Years

Mr. Shi Bingjun was arrested in September 2013, and has since been held in the Wuxi Detention Center. He was sentenced to five years in prison on May 8, 2015.

3. [Qinyang, Henan Province] Ms. Ji Suqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ji Suqin was arrested on May 21, 2015 by officers from the Qinyang 610 Office and Domestic Security Division. She was transferred to the Zhengzhou Brainwashing Center the next day.

4. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhao Guifen Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guifen was arrested at home on May 22, 2015.

5. [Ziyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Sun Bizhen Arrested

Ms. Sun Bizhen was arrested on May 21, 2015, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Suzhi, Ms. Li Yaping, Ms. Wang Hong, and Ms. Gong were arrested at Ms. Li Suzhi's home on May 20, 2015. Except for Ms. Wang Hong, all others are being held in the Dalian Detention Center. The police confiscated two printers and a notebook from Ms. Li Yanping's home.

7. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Yuzhen Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yuzhen, 66, was arrested at home on May 21, 2015.

8. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] 14 Practitioners Arrested

A total of 14 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested on May 13, 2015, in Kunming City.

Ms. Li Fazhen, Ms. Li Falan, Ms. Hu, Ms. Yi Fengxian, Ms. Chen Guizhen, Ms. Gu Zonglan, Ms. Zhao Guangxian, Ms. Wu Chaokun, Ms. Wu Chaohui, Ms. Luo Faying, Ms. Fan Kaizhen, and Ms. Li Guozhen are being held in the Dongchuan District Detention Center.

Mr. Wu Chaoqian and Mr. Chen Jinshu are being held in the Dongchuan Detention Center.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ying Detained

Ms. Li Ying was recently arrested and taken to the Dagangbanchang Road Police Station. Her blood pressure was high, but the police still took her to the Dagang Detention Center.

10. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Jiangmei and Ms. Wen Chunxia Detained

Ms. Wang was arrested on May 19, 2015, by police officers Han Boxiang and Kang Bo for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong.

Ms. Wen was also arrested by officers from the Jiangtan Road Police Station on the same day.

Ms. Hang and Ms. Wen are detained in the Baoji No. 2 Detention Center.
